September was a busy month for the Nevion team!

This year’s IBC gave us plenty to celebrate, including Virtuoso’s 10th birthday and the launch of the first applications for MOXELA, our new software-based media processing platform.

We also celebrated Maren Ytterdal Krogsrud and Anna Marciniec being shortlisted in the Rise Awards 2026. 🎉

Rajiv Thapar, Nevion’s VP Sales EMEA is our latest interviewee in Nevion’s ‘Q&A with the Team’ series!

Rajiv’s association with Nevion goes back to when the company he helped build, T-VIPS, merged with Nevion in 2013.

Since then, he’s worked on some transformative projects, including the digital terrestrial switchover in the UK with Arqiva and the groundbreaking IP project with Norway’s TV 2.

Today, after learning new skills in different roles, Rajiv is our VP Sales across Europe, Middle East and India, and recently celebrated 30 years in the broadcast industry. 🎉

How has it already been over a week since ? 🫣

This year’s show gave us plenty to celebrate, from launching MOXELA, our next-generation software media processing platform, to marking Nevion’s 30th birthday and 10 years since Virtuoso made its IBC debut.

Maybe time really does fly when you’re having fun… 😊

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, caught up with the Nevion team and helped make this year’s show such a memorable one.

And next year? It’s IBC’s turn for a big birthday, as the show celebrates 60 years in 2027. We’re already looking forward to the celebrations! 🎉

🏃‍➡️ From road running to obstacle courses, our Nevion colleagues in Poland have been keeping active and pushing themselves to new limits this month.

On the 6th September, some of our Nevion team joined over 3,800 other runners for the 64th Westerplatte Run in Gdańsk, completing a challenging 10km course.

And on the 12th September, more Nevion fitness fanatics took on Runmageddon, tackling a 6km course featuring 30 obstacles, traversing sand, water and heights.

A big well done to everyone involved for their amazing efforts!

One of the real benefits of was the opportunity to spend time with customers and partners away from the show floor.

During the show, Sony brought together customers and partners for an evening, invite-only event to share more about our Networked Live vision for hybrid production, including the increasingly important role of software in making that vision possible.

Nevion plays a key role in that software-defined approach, with VideoIPath and MOXELA working alongside Sony solutions such as M2L-X to enable more flexible live production.

With VideoIPath providing orchestration and broadcast control, and MOXELA bringing software-based media processing, Nevion technology helps make production resources easier to connect, manage and use across locations.

In doing so, it helps bring together the places, processing and people at the heart of Networked Live.

It was a great opportunity to share more about that vision, while also hearing directly from customers and partners about the opportunities and challenges they are seeing in their own production environments.

One of our highlights has been having so many of the Nevion and Sony team together in one place, catching up with customers, partners and industry colleagues from around the world.

There’s been plenty to celebrate too. We’ve seen huge interest in the newly launched MOXELA software-native media processing platform, alongside demos of VideoIPath and Virtuoso throughout the show.

This year’s IBC has also been a particularly special one for Nevion, as we mark our 30th birthday and 10 years of Virtuoso, which made its debut here in 2016. 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who visited us on the Sony booth, joined a demo or stopped by for a conversation.

We’re heading home with plenty of conversations to continue, and a lot of great memories from the show. 👏

Congratulations to Maren Ytterdal Krogsrud and Anna Marciniec, who have both been shortlisted for the Rise Awards 2026! 👏

The awards celebrate the women, companies and advocates helping to advance and strengthen the broadcast and media technology industry, recognising the many roles and contributions that often happen behind the scenes.

👉 Maren, Nevion’s UX Lead for VideoIPath, has been shortlisted for the R&D Engineer Award, a category for high achievers, problem solvers and team players. Maren combines user-focused design with technical understanding to make VideoIPath workflows more intuitive and easier to use.

👉 Anna, our Managing Director based in Poland, has been shortlisted for the Business Operations Award, which highlights those who bring people, processes and resources together to deliver strong business and customer outcomes. Anna plays a key role in keeping Nevion’s operations running effectively and supporting reliable delivery for our customers.

We’re incredibly proud to see two of our colleagues recognised among so many talented women from across the industry.
