Great to be part of this collaborative project with Ulysses Systems in Greece supported by . Our CCO Lene Normann Olsen and Ulysses' COO Panteleimon Pantelis sharing some lessons learned 💡from the first project we completed together 👇. More projects are to come in the near future! 👏🙌 Thanks to The Norwegian Embassy in Athens, Greece for sharing!
The project is an integration between Ulysses Systems as the planned maintenance system and VesselMan as project and process management tool for technical projects.
Applying for for projects like this is a great opportunity to create valuable partnerships, as well as bring your product in a position for cross-border collaborations and expansion.
📌 Here are the lessons learned from an exciting 🇬🇷 🇳🇴 partnership and a way forward for other business entities wishing to expand by working together under the Business Innovation Program:
✏️Best of breed software built for collaboration has created value to the maritime industry⚓️.
✏️Commercial expansion to North and South Europe Regions, has been achieved.
✏️Increase of market share has been achieved by introducing project promoter & partner existing or new clientele to each other🤝🏻.
✏️Increased product value and customers’ loyalty, has been achieved.
✏️Organizational cultural differences have been motivational.
✏️Strong bonding between team members at all levels, has led to increased productivity.
✏️Individuals with high academic knowledge and extend hands-on technical experience have been brought together and this enabled them to pioneer💡.
✏️Exchange of knowledge/ideas led to preparation of an innovative solution & broaden the horizons of the participants.
✏️Adaptability to special situations arising from differences in Greek-Norwegian member states and/or from emergency worldwide situations, such as COVID pandemic 🌍 should be taken under consideration.
✏️The original affection value of the project has been higher than expected based on the great relations that have been built.
Pantelis 🇬🇷 is a Mechanical Engineered from Imperial College, University of London, and has completed post-graduate studies in ‘Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Quality Management’ at Brunel University, of London. He has 25 years of experience in Ship Management and in Shipping IT Systems. He has also participated in the development of leading software systems in the shipping industry and he has been thereafter for its implementation in the marine domain. He is currently the CEO of Ulysses Hellas S.A.
Lene 🇳🇴 is the Chief Commercial Officer at VesselMan. Lene has been working in VesselMan for 2,5 years and has a good understanding of the digital transformation ship owners and ship managements are going through. She has a commercial background and has been working as a "change agent" when it comes to connecting businesses to collaborate on digital initiatives. The past years she has gained a passionate interest in the digital transformation the maritime industry is going through which often correlates with change management.
