Snowcastle Games Snowcastle Games is an independent game developer based in Oslo, Norway. Founded in 2009, Snowcastle Games launched their first feature title in 2011.

They are now back with their highly anticipated RPG - Earthlock, the first in the Earthlock Trilogy. We develop our own IPs from concept to finish using Unreal Engine as our platform. The first title released by Snowcastle Games was Hogworld: Gnarts Adventure. It won universal acclaim and made the Apple App Store Best of 2011 List. Currently we are focused on our next big release, Earthlock 2. We're also home to the gameBase© database of video games, a huge repository of information on games.

We’re excited to officially announce that the demo for Lysward will launch on March 26th! 🌵

Step into the relentless desert of Lysward as Kiran, a fugitive experiment whose only memory is a single name: Orren. Stranded under a sun that never sets, your survival will depend on more than endurance. You must master the harsh environment and uncover the profound secrets it conceals. But don’t worry, you won't have to face this desert alone.

The demo invites you to recover your lost memories with the aid of your companion, Gjorna. Learn to wield two unique abilities through your Amri sleeve, vital for navigating the dangers ahead. Explore, craft, repair your speeder, and survive the unforgiving sands.

Your feedback will be crucial in developing the full game.

Mark your calendars! On February 17th, the Lunar Union Festival will once again illuminate Ikonei Island with joy and warmth as we welcome in the Lunar New Year.

For the festival, you can try to locate all the red envelopes and unlock additional seasonal items. The event will end on March 3rd, so make sure to get all your rewards before that!

Today, we're excited to pull back the curtain on new secrets coming to Lysward.

Behold some pictures of the Notus Outpost. In here, you'll discover some signs of other souls braving the heat. The Notus Outpost serves as a mysterious point of interest. What happened to its inhabitants? You'll have to explore to find out. And yes, that is a Pebbleput plushie you see in the bed! In these screenshots, you can also see the Salt Flats and a radio tower.

These additions are just a glimpse of the world we're building. A world meant to feel alive, mysterious, and deeply rewarding to explore alongside your companion, Gjorna.

As shared in our last update, the Lysward Open Beta has now officially ended.

Your participation, enthusiasm, and detailed feedback have been nothing short of incredible. Watching you explore, experiment, and share your experiences has been the perfect way to end our year and start anew.

Our team is now fully focused on analyzing the feedback and data you’ve provided. Every bug report, suggestion, and shared moment will directly inform our next phase of development as we work to make Lysward the best experience it can be.

Over the past weeks, you've explored the desert, crafted, and uncovered secrets about Kiran and Notus. More importantly, you've shared invaluable feedback, bug reports, and ideas that have directly shaped the future of Lysward. Our community has been the heart of this process, and we are endlessly grateful.

Whether you're stepping in for the first time or making a final run, there's still time to play and share your thoughts. Keep your feedback coming on Discord and Steam Forums.

We're also excited to announce that our next major milestone will be a playable demo! This will be your chance to experience a polished slice of the game with new features. We will be announcing the official release date in the new year.

We've just pushed an update including some improvements you've been asking for. Thank you for all your feedback! Swipe to learn all that's new.
Important thing: old saves will not work with this new update, so you'll have to start a new game.

Hello Castaways,

We have an important update to share: We have reached a mutual agreement with one of our publishers, Fundamentally Games (Jetpack Collective), to part ways. This means that their publishing rights for Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure have now returned to us.

We’re grateful for their support during our time together, and we’re now looking forward to steering the game’s future. We remain fully committed to continuing to make Ikonei Island the best game it can be, so stay tuned for more adventures ahead.

Lastly, our partnership with The Iterative Collective, our publisher in Asian territories, remains unchanged. They’ll continue to support Ikonei Island in their regions as always.

As a thank you for your ongoing support, Ikonei Island is 50% off from November 24th until December 1st. This is a great opportunity for new Castaways to join the adventure as we intend to roll out improvements and bug fixes to make the experience even better. We’ll have more to share soon.
