How can we can build a more efficient and sustainable digital infrastructure to reduce the impact on the environment and what can we do now to future-proof it?

Described by many as a new Davos, the SmartNations Foundation, a non-profit founded by pioneers of the global SmartCity space, launches on 12 November at Digital Infra Montréal, in Canada.

SNF co-founder and CEO André Eidskrem (also CEO of intraHouse), co-founder and COO Bruce Taylor and Roger Strukhoff (CEO Tau Institute for Global IT Research), will share the SNF goals of accelerating the adoption of 21st Century technologies.

To assist in this mission, SNF is adopting our SmartCity platform intra.work to build the new community, facilitate innovation, communication, collaboration and management of SmartCity projects in one safe, single place in the cloud, accessible via desktop and iOS and Android apps.

Thanks to Cámara de Comercio Gran Canaria for organising, and to Casa África for hosting, a truly wonderful event designed to strengthen ties between Spain and Ghana.

The economy of Ghana advanced 6.7% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, following a 6.8% growth in the previous period, mainly boosted by services and the industrial sector.

Now, as Ghana builds on the economic growth of the past couple of years, the country's leaders are looking to Spain and Gran Canaria for inspiration and collaboration in the areas of trade and sustainable tourism.

Congratulations to Nelly Panayotova who's been with us for 17 years today! Ålesund-based, Nelly is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our intraSpider crawler, which fuels the search engines we use for some of our platforms including our brand new platform. Thank you Nelly for your 17 years of loyal service, and here's to at least 17 more! Happy work anniversary to the nicest coworker anyone could ask for!

As part of our launch of solutions for including intra.work, we have added the expertise of two wonderful individuals from via PROEXCA to the team.

Lourdes Perez is in Norway with Team , and Hugo Hidalgo is in , where he’s working on a special project with the Organization for International Economic Relations in the framework of the United Smart Cities and the United For Smart Sustainable Cities project coordinated by ITU, UNECE and UN-HABITAT, designed to educate and engage citizens with smart city projects.
