Designed this book with essays about commemoration and rituals for Dutch Flood Museum - 192 page hardcover with bljnd printing in granite.

This February 1 the annual commemoration of the Dutch flood disaster from 1953 will be held with a nice symposium afterwards where the book will be presented.

Commissioned by the Dutch Flood Museum I had the honour to conceptualize and design poetry festival ‘Dichter bij Water’ (closer by water and/or poet by the water) that took place last Saturday. It turned out great and looking forward to next year’s edition! In cooperation with Literair café De Geestgronden.

On behalf of I was asked to curate and design this great poetry festival ‘Dichter bij Water’ (closer (but also poet) to water), november 8th.

There will be poetry all through the permanent collection of the museum and with several well-known poets, scientists, installations and live performances this will be your not so average poetry festival. Awooo!

The Grevelingendam, one of the famous Dutch Deltaworks celebrated it’s 60th birthday this April 1st. A beautiful photo collection popped up from an attic just half a year ago, all shot by a man who worked as a supervisor on this dam. His name was Marinus Luteijn and his son brought the collection to - they wisely asked to design a book with the collection nobody had ever seen before.

So we designed this 180 page monument(al), printed on 150 grams Munken Print White, cornflower blue linen cover, capital band and reading ribbon. Cover embossed with white foil. We like it a lot 💙

Afgelopen vrijdag mocht ik mijn concept presenteren voor Saeftinghe2021, een project geïnitieerd door CBK Zeeland voor een publiek van mensen van , lokale streekholders en inwoners van deze prachtige grensstreek.

Na vele maanden onderzoek, masterclasses, workshops, een residency en vele nieuwe vriendschappen presenteerde ik mijn social design concept in de vorm van een radiozender/uitzendplatform - voor en door de mensen - in de breedste zin van het woord: Radio Saef. Gezien de reacties tijdens en na afloop van de presentatie was het een succes: ik kan niet wachten om het idee samen met de betrokkenen verder te brengen! Nogmaals dank aan CBK Zeeland voor de geboden kans om mijn vakgebied te verbreden! 🙏

Fantastische week weer gehad en guess what: het beste moet nog komen!

Afgelopen vrijdag kwam de Saeftinghe 2021 Workshop tot een eind, met de presentaties van de vier multidisciplinaire teams uit opleidingen voor ontwerp, kunst, landschap en biologie, geleid door onze makers , , en . Het leverde een veelheid aan inzichten en concepten op.

Onnodig te zeggen dat 2020 een bizar jaar was, dus ook voor CBK Zeeland (centrum voor beeldende kunst, vormgeving, architectuur in Zeeland). Het kreeg de titel ' Bezorgd' en ik mocht het ontwerpen (bezorgen in archaïsch Nederlands).
