๐ Joost has been part of the ONEXP team for over 10 years, working as a System Engineer. He transforms sales concepts into detailed technical documentation, creating everything from electrical drawings and system diagrams to rack layouts, cable lists, integration drawings, and datasheets. His work ensures our installers have all the information they need before stepping onboard.
๐ฅ๏ธ No two days are ever the same for Joost. His mornings usually start with checking emails and answering technical questions from shipyards, project managers, and installers. From there, he continues with creating FE (Fine Engineering) drawings, developing 3D models, researching new products, and making sure every technical detail is documented correctly so each system can be installed seamlessly.
๐ One of Joostโs most memorable moments was working on his very first project: engineering the beach club for a 145m+ superyacht. It was his first experience translating such a complex project into technical drawings, and he was amazed throughout the entire process. Getting to see his drawings come to life when he visited the yacht put the cherry on top of the cake.
โญ Joostโs proudest moment was celebrating 10 years at ONEXP. Heโs proud to be part of what he describes as a family, working on incredible projects alongside talented colleagues. After more than a decade, he still genuinely enjoys what he does every day.
โจ What Joost loves most about working at ONEXP is the teamwork. Everyone brings their own expertise, and no one ever has to solve challenges alone. By sharing knowledge and supporting one another, the team consistently delivers a high standard of quality.
๐ด Outside of work, Joost enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, going on holidays, cycling, taking long walks, and relaxing on a sunny terrace. He also enjoys visiting the theatre and, although he no longer owns one, has always had a passion for motorcycles.
