We have been very quiet for the past few months. That wasn't supposed to be happening but some personal stuff came between the development. We just finished some parts of the roof of the terminal and are busy finishing the last few parts of the terminal so we get to work on the rest of the airport.
The terminal is our most detailed model together with the flightclub, for this airport since these are the main objects you stand next to when being in the sim.
The glass of the Tower is transparent and has objects inside. However we decided not to do any other internal modeling because of performance and because you simply don't see that much from any angle in real life. The 'terrace' will be detailed and maybe, if our skills come to that with moving people, but that might be something for the future when we are near release and gained some more skills during development.
Over these past few days that we have been working on this model we managed to save over 12K of polygons and keep the same amount of detail. We will even save more polygons over the coming few days when adding some minor tweaks to for example the ventilation pipes!
Here we have a small, not really interesting preview showing the amount of detail in texturing. I know its a horrible angle but that is simply not my thing :P Everything is texture-shaded and no rendering trick has been added to the model. This is almost (except for some lighting /color changes) how you would see it in the sim.
