Happy New Year from EvolutionSim!
I am slowly starting to work on modeling again after a long time-consuming period in my study.

In the mean time Frits has been working on the ground poly (which will be textured soon).

He also showed me these models after I asked him to create some taxi signs and boy I never regret asking! Glad to have him on the team!

Quick note though: these signs still contain the outdated textures we provided him, we are aware of HP 06 and 24 now being V1 and V6, but this of course does not represent the final product!

2016 is a year which we hope to provide more shots for you guys and hopefully a release!

Stay tuned because we are very busy with finishing some previews for you guys! We got a new team member which is working on the ground while I (Jonah) am working on the models and (Jesse) on the textures! Since our new member (Frits) is doing an awesome job on the ground we can fully focus on buildings to wrap up the missed weeks where our private life came in first place!

We havent let you guys hear from us latetly. We had to put the modeling on a hold for a moment but are planning on continue this week! With the terminal nearly finished, we just received all the pictures we needed for the new hotel next to it. A visit to the airport is going to be planned too to make photos of the most recent changes!

We have been very quiet for the past few months. That wasn't supposed to be happening but some personal stuff came between the development. We just finished some parts of the roof of the terminal and are busy finishing the last few parts of the terminal so we get to work on the rest of the airport.

The terminal is our most detailed model together with the flightclub, for this airport since these are the main objects you stand next to when being in the sim.

The glass of the Tower is transparent and has objects inside. However we decided not to do any other internal modeling because of performance and because you simply don't see that much from any angle in real life. The 'terrace' will be detailed and maybe, if our skills come to that with moving people, but that might be something for the future when we are near release and gained some more skills during development.

Over these past few days that we have been working on this model we managed to save over 12K of polygons and keep the same amount of detail. We will even save more polygons over the coming few days when adding some minor tweaks to for example the ventilation pipes!

Here we have a small, not really interesting preview showing the amount of detail in texturing. I know its a horrible angle but that is simply not my thing :P Everything is texture-shaded and no rendering trick has been added to the model. This is almost (except for some lighting /color changes) how you would see it in the sim.

As always, this is work in progress!

We are currently working on the tower and terminal, which is going well!The tower is almost finished after finding a lot of techniques to make it look good.

We remade the whole middle section of the tower due to a unfixable problem, so that took a lot of time.

We hope to have the whole terminal building finished within 1 to 1,5 week! Screenshot are on their way!
