"The devil is in the details." is a famous quote and something we always keep in the back of our heads. Same as Jacobus Bouvy whose factory made this stained glass window at our HQ. Not everybody will see the details, but the work isn't complete without them!

Mr. Bouvy (1828-1888) was the founder of the Royal Dutch Glass Factory in Dordrecht. They made stained glass for Amsterdam Central Station, Palace of Justice Brussels, and Oranjesingel 10 Nijmegen.

1892? No, our company has not been around that long, but the 🏣 where we are located has! You can imagine that we are quite proud of that! We thought a little bit of history is in order...

At the end of the 1800s, the in was created. Architect and contractor Gerard Buskens was responsible for many of the buildings on the squares and canals of the Nijmegen city layout. In 1892 he realized 'our' building and a few years later also numbers 14 to 34.

The Nijmegen Monuments List contains the formal text about the designation as a monument:

Gerardus Buskens (Bergharen, August 7th, 1853 – Nijmegen, Juli 15th, 1933) is buried in the family grave on the main avenue of the Daalseweg cemetery. In the Bottendaal district of Nijmegen, a street used to be named after him. He also designed the first houses on this street.
