At Grendel, we're passionate about creating games that make a difference. Now, we're looking for a Game Designer to help us continue creating impactful Serious Games.

In this role, you’ll spearhead the conceptualization and implementation of game designs across a range of projects, collaborating closely with developers, artists, and fellow designers.

What we're looking for:

✅ Minimum 2 years of professional experience in game design.

✅ Experience with Unity (or similar) and a solid grasp of technical and artistic feasibility in design choices.

✅ Proficiency in designing engaging gameplay mechanics and dynamics, informed by an understanding of engagement, motivation, and drive.

✅ Passion for games across various forms with the ability to draw inspiration from diverse sources.

✅ Strong spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

✅ Willingness to learn and adapt, coupled with a self-directed work ethic and a user-centric mindset.

✅ You can create (prototype) game functionality in Unity by scripting.

✅ Experience designing for PC/Mac, web and mobile platforms and understanding their different requirements.

Location: Leeuwarden | Hybrid: 2 days remote working

Contract: Full Time
