We attended FOOD 4 FUTURE - EXPO FOODTECH last week in Bilbao. Meeting like-minded people and witnessing so much food tech innovation, it was an amazing event held in a Fantastic culinary city.

I was invited to speak about ChefChains role in the digital future of the food chain and show how blockchain is essential in empowering consumers to make conscious and enlightened food choices. We made some fantastic connections and met important stakeholders.

Thanks to the TITAN Project EU it was good to see you there. Also to Food4Future for having us. It was an honour to be part of such an esteemed event and to share our insights and role in building a better future for food

Chefchain is proud to have been nominated for a Greener Innovation award at the AGF awards 2024.

Along with Into Into The Great Wide Open, Marinthe de Hek and Innofest Nederland we demonstrated that Farm to Fork food transparency was possible at any festival by using Blockchain technology in the supply chain.

We presented data to the festival goers about the Beer, Bread and Mussels that were served at the festival. From the C02 level, Point of origin to Water & land use of the product.

Allowing festival goers to scan the QR code and make a conscious choices about the food they consumed at the festival.

The locally brewed beer and the locally baked bread were extremely popular choices against the mainstream options on offer.

We had a wonderful time at the Amsterdam Dance Event 2023 thanks to Innofest ! We were super happy to share the stage with Beth Massa (Ozarka, US), François Gérard (Toopi, BE), Mark Meerlo (Emit IT, NL) and Teun van ’t Veer (Renset, NL) !
It was a really stimulating experience and the networking and feedback was great!

ChefChain is proud to announce an exciting new project we've been working on for the last few months.

ChefChain has been working together with Innofest Nederland and the Dutch music festival Into The Great Wide Open on a project tracing the origin and impact of key foods being consumed at the festival. This festival takes place each August on the Dutch island of Vlieland.

Some examples of the food being traced include Beer; from hops to bottle, bread; from grain to loaf, and lastly Mussels; from rope to plate. We have recorded all the data onto the blockchain for verification and transparency purposes. Meeting the growers and producers has been a fantastic experience and we've learned so much from this process.

During the festival, attendees will be instantly able to access the food data by scanning the QR code, using their smartphone, and will be able to view the following food data from the blockchain:
- Ingredients
- Food kms
- Origin story
- Production details
- C02 impact
- Water usage impact

This data will give the food consumer the power to make better and healthier food choices. Also, allow for any dietary restrictions or allergies and to learn more about food sustainability and sources. Overall contributing to a better connection with the food leads to increased food appreciation and enjoyment.
