Hi everybody! 3 new gifs are below. Two more days and they can drag him off to jail. If all goes relatively smoothly, I think I’ll feel comfortable releasing the game as soon as possible. I think the story of our game already reflected the horribleness of his presidency very well, what happened on the 6th of January is easy to add to that story. I’m doing some work on Charon’s Return again, so I think we could be able to release the game within two months. I still feel it’s good not to release it right now, because of what happened on the 6th. We streamed Clandestine again last Saturday, it’s cool, we’re getting the hang of it.

Hallo allemaal! 3 nieuwe gifjes staan hieronder. Nog twee dagen en dan kunnen ze ‘m naar de gevangenis slepen. Als alles redelijk vlekkeloos verloopt, denk ik dat ik me er wel goed bij voel om de game zo snel mogelijk uit te brengen. Ik denk dat het verhaal van ons spel de verschrikking van zijn presidentschap al heel goed weergaf, het is makkelijk om wat er op 6 januari gebeurd is toe te voegen aan dat verhaal. Ik doe weer wat werk aan Charon’s Return, dus ik denk dat we de game wel binnen twee maanden uit kunnen brengen. Ik vind nog steeds dat het goed is om ‘m niet nu uit te brengen, vanwege wat er gebeurd is op de 6de. We hebben zaterdag weer Clandestine gestreamd, het is cool, we beginnen door te krijgen hoe het werkt.

Hi everybody! The 3 new gifs are below. I’m gonna start with the great news. The Democrats won the two Georgia senate seats! This is awesome and it will make a huge positive difference in the next two years. The bad news is that the president tried to steal attention away from the good news by encouraging a violent coup. It’s hard to say what I should do with Charon’s Return now. Right now, I don’t want to release a game where that man gets a lot of speaking time, even if he is the loser in the end. I wouldn’t be able to finish the game before the 20th anyway, because I’m too tired to work. But it might be better if the game comes out a bit later than close to the 20th anyway. I do not want to give this man that much attention right now, and it’s probably good to wait and see how things go in the coming weeks. I will definitely work on the story to incorporate last week’s events. We streamed Clandestine again last Saturday, the asynchronous coop spy/hacking game. It was fun and inspiring again.

Hallo allemaal! De 3 nieuwe gifjes staan hieronder. Ik ga beginnen met het geweldige nieuws. De Democrats hebben de twee senaatszetels van Georgia gewonnen! Dat is geweldig en het zal de komende twee jaar een enorme positieve invloed hebben. Het slechte nieuws is dat de president de aandacht van het goede nieuws probeerde af te leiden door een gewelddadige coup aan te moedigen. Het is moeilijk te zeggen wat ik nu met Charon’s Return moet doen. Momenteel wil ik geen game uitbrengen die die man een hoop spreektijd geeft, zelfs al is hij de loser aan het eind. Ik zou de game toch niet voor de 20e af kunnen krijgen, omdat ik te moe ben om te werken. Maar het zou misschien sowieso wel goed zijn als de game wat later dan dichtbij de 20e uitkomt. Ik wil deze man momenteel niet zoveel aandacht geven en het is waarschijnlijk wel goed om te kijken hoe dingen de komende weken gaan. Hi everybody. My dear dad died last week, after being in the hospital for a month. We had a lovely funeral last Thursday. It’s the reason I didn’t post last week, and why I haven’t been able to do much work in the past month. I will try to finish the game, also because my dad had a lot to do with where New Game Studios is today. There’s 3 new gifs below. The Georgia senate seat elections are tomorrow, voting for Democrats can take away power from Mitch McConnell, and give Joe Biden a much better opportunity to do good things. We streamed Clandestine last Saturday, an asynchronous coop spy game, where one player is in a third person shooter playing the spy, and the other is doing some hacking to help the spy get past obstacles. It’s a very cool concept!

Hallo allemaal. M’n lieve vader is vorige week overleden, na een maand in het ziekenhuis te hebben gelegen. We hebben afgelopen donderdag een mooie begrafenis gehad. Het is de reden dat ik vorige week niet gepost heb en waarom ik afgelopen maand niet veel werk heb kunnen doen. Ik zal proberen de game af te maken, ook omdat m’n vader er veel mee te maken heeft gehad waar New Game Studios nu staat. Er staan 3 nieuwe gifjes hieronder. De verkiezingen voor de senaatszetels uit Georgia zijn morgen, stemmen op Democrats kan de macht weghalen bij Mitch McConnell en Joe Biden een veel betere gelegenheid geven om goeie dingen te doen. Hi everybody! There’s 3 new gifs below. Don’t forget about the Georgia senate race! Two Democrats from Georgia in the senate would give the Democrats a majority, take power away from Mitch McConnell, and make it way easier for Joe Biden to do good things. I didn’t do anything last week, still because of the same personal circumstances. We’ll see how it all goes. We finished Half Life: Alyx yesterday on the stream, so we’ll be streaming a different game next week. It was somewhat interesting to finish the whole game on stream, but my opinion on VR and Half Life: Alyx is still the same. I don’t think VR is the way to go for the most interesting games in the near future.

Twee Demcrats uit Georgia in de senaat zou de Democrat de meerderheid geven, de macht weghalen bij Mitch McConnell en het veel makkelijker maken voor Joe Biden om goeie dingen te doen. Ik heb niks gedaan afgelopen week, nog steeds vanwege dezelfde persoonlijke omstandigheden. We zullen zien hoe het gaat. I actually, finally have something to cross of the list! I finished the story. I’ve been busy recording the voice overs as well last week, which is about 60% done, but I do still have to do the editing and placement. But this is awesome, it feels great to cross something off. Hi everybody! The 3 new gifs are below. I want to start by congratulating Lewis Hamilton on his record equaling 7th Formula 1 world title. Lewis is a man actually worth mentioning, who uses his platform as the greatest Formula 1 driver of all time to stand up and fight for equality and diversity. Great job Lewis. Stephen Colbert has started using asterisks in T****’s name, and doesn’t say his name anymore. He is clearly done giving that man any more attention. I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment. I would like to encourage people to care about more interesting and worthwhile things, and if you want to keep caring about an important American election, care about the two Gerogia senate elections in January. If the Democrats can win both those seats, Mitch McConnell’s toxic hold on the senate, and thereby American politics will finally be over. But this puts me in a difficult position. How can I market my game about T****, when I don’t want to encourage people to think about T****. I also think most people want to stop caring about T**** anyway. So I am going to try and finish the game and release it before the 20th of January, but I’m afraid the game will not be successful. Even though I’ve been convinced that T**** would lose this election for years, I didn’t anticipate this problem for my game that him losing the election would create, when I decided it was fine to push the release date to after the election. Oops. Our game will at least still be a good showcase of a multiplayer coop VR zombieshooter with lots of mini games, and with my political statement integrated into the story though, so that’s something. I have been working on the story last week, it’s coming along very well, though I feel it’s boring, since I don’t want to make light of all the horrible things he’s done the past four years. Another reason I think the game won’t do well, since I refuse to change it in such a way that I would be making light of all his horrible deeds. The story will definitely be finished next week. We also streamed Half Life: Alyx again this week.

Nothing to cross off yet, the interns are working on the level 2 hallway, the ballroom aquarium, the ballroom itself, the bowling alley (which is almost done!), the ending animation, the Han Zorro animation, and a functional drum kit, keyboard and guitar.

Hallo allemaal! De 3 nieuwe gifjes staan hieronder. Ik wil beginnen met Lewis Hamilton te feliciteren met z’n record-evenarende zevende wereldtitel in de Formule 1. Lewis is een man die daadwerkelijk de moeite waard is om te noemen, die zijn platform als de beste Formule 1-coureur aller tijden gebruikt om op te komen en te vechten voor gelijkheid en diversiteit. Geweldig gedaan Lewis. Stephen Colbert is begonnen sterretjes te gebruiken in T****s naam en hij zegt zijn naam niet meer. Hij is er duidelijk klaar mee die man nog meer aandacht te geven. Ik ben het hartgrondig eens met dat principe. Ik wil mensen graag aanmoedigen te geven om dingen die interessanter en meer de moeite waard zijn en als je om een belangrijke Amerikaanse verkiezing wilt blijven geven, geef dan om de twee senaatsverkiezingen in Georgia in januari. Als de democraten beide zetels kunnen winnen, is Mitch McConnells vergiftigende greep op de senaat en daarmee de Amerikaanse politiek eindelijk voorbij. Maar dit plaatst me in een lastige positie. Hoe kan ik mijn game over T**** marketen als ik mensen niet wil aanmoedigen om over T**** na te denken. Ik denk ook dat de meeste mensen sowieso op willen houden met om T**** geven. Dus ik ga proberen de game af te maken en uit te brengen voor 20 januari, maar ik ben bang dat de game niet succesvol gaat worden. Tewijl ik er al jaren van overtuigd ben geweest dat T**** dit jaar de verkiezingen zou verliezen, had ik dit probleem wat zijn verlies van de verkiezingen voor mijn game zou creeren niet voorzien, toen ik besloot dat het prima was om de datum van uitbrengen over de verkiezingen heen te tillen. Oeps. Onze game zal tenminste nog een goeie showcase zijn voor een multiplayer coop VR zombieshooter met een hoop minigames en met mijn politieke statement geintegreerd in het verhaal, dus dat is iets. Ik heb afgelopen week aan het verhaal gewerkt, het vordert heel goed, al heb ik het idee dat het saai is, aangezien ik niet lichtzinnig wil doen over alle vreselijke dingen die hij de afgelopen jaren gedaan heeft. Ook een reden waarom ik denk dat de game het niet goed zal doen, aangezien ik weiger het zodanig te veranderen dat ik lichtzinnig zou doen over al zijn vreselijjke daden. Het verhaal zal volgende week absoluut af zijn. We hebben deze week ook weer Half Life: Alyx gestreamd.
