Happy IBM PC Day! 💻✨
On August 12, 1981, IBM launched the model 5150 - the machine that officially brought the “Personal Computer” into the mainstream and changed the tech landscape forever.
Back then, storing data meant relying on modest hard drives and floppy disks holding just a fraction of a megabyte. Today, that data lives in massive, high-density data centres across the globe - and the team at Red Bear is proud to be at the forefront of building the modern infrastructure that makes it all possible.
We’ve come a long way from desktop towers, but we’re honored to help shape the next chapter of data evolution every single day. 🔴🐻💾➡️🌐
Quick question for the Red Bear community: Who here had an IBM (or an IBM-compatible) as their very first computer? 🙋♂️🙋♀️ Iain Farquharson BSc CDCDP we know you’ll have something to say on this. 😎
