Meet our hero, Evin!

Some people finish their internship and move on. Evin decided to stay, and we're glad he did.

Evin joined EZ Factory as a Junior Customer Success Consultant, and is learning the full customer success journey from start to finish.

Really great! It feels good to know the organisation has confidence in me. And since I already know my colleagues and the daily work, I hit the ground running.

Right now I really enjoy understanding processes and finding smarter ways to do things, like the improvement projects I'm working on. What I'm looking forward to most is working directly with customers, and hopefully putting my graduation research into practice for real.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘂𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽 𝗥𝗧𝗟 𝟰 𝗲𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

“Over de afgelopen 4 auditrondes hebben we een score van 78%.”

Hadden jullie ooit verwacht dat er bij De Augurkenkoning zo datagedreven over de fabriek zou worden gesproken?

Wie de serie kent, kent ook de wekelijkse controlerondes door de fabriek. Oos heeft een heel duidelijk beeld van hoe een opgeruimde fabriek eruitziet.

Maar kijkt iedereen naar dezelfde dingen en ziet de nieuwe generatie management dat ook?

Daar zat precies de uitdaging.

De rondes werden wel gelopen, maar ieder deed dat op zijn eigen manier. De één zag andere dingen dan de ander en echt positief leek het zelden te zijn.

Bevindingen werden vastgelegd met foto's op telefoons, er werden Word-bestanden gemaakt en acties moesten daarna nog apart worden opgepakt en opgevolgd.

Daar komt in seizoen 5 verandering in: Het EZ-GO Platform bij De Augurkenkoning!

De wekelijkse HON-audit (Hygiëne, Orde en Netheid) van Kesbeke wordt gestandaardiseerd en digitaal uitgevoerd.

Iedere ronde volgens dezelfde standaard. Bevindingen direct geregistreerd. Acties direct toegewezen aan de juiste persoon.

En daarmee ontstaat iets wat er daarvoor veel minder was: inzicht in data en hoe het ervoor staat.

En toen gebeurde er nog iets bijzonders
Camiel Kesbeke:
“We hebben het aan Claudine laten zien. En het gebeurt niet vaak… maar ze begon helemaal te stralen toen we met die iPads in de weer gingen.”

En misschien nog wel het mooiste moment: Silvian krijgt een compliment van Oos Kesbeke.
“Ik weet niet of jij dit allemaal zo geregeld hebt, maar het zag er mooi, schoon en opgeruimd uit.”

Waarop Silvian zegt:
“En dan weet je dat je het echt goed hebt gedaan.”

Mooi om te zien hoe iets dat begint met een eenvoudige wekelijkse ronde kan uitgroeien tot een vaste standaard, concrete acties en uiteindelijk meetbare verbetering.

The best documented procedure in your plant is quietly losing to a trick somebody figured out three years ago.

It is faster, everyone on the shift knows it, and it has never seen a single approval. That shortcut is the real competition for anything you bring to the floor, and it wins on convenience every single time.

Make the right way the easiest way and quality stops depending on who happens to be working that shift.

What happens when six Borgesius bakeries come together in one room?

Together with Borgesius we organized the first EZ-GO Community Day in Aalsmeer (NL).

Six locations, with some of them using EZ-GO in their own way. That's exactly why we wanted to bring them together. Teams swapped stories about what clicked on their floor and what took longer than expected. Questions got answered by people who'd already figured it out.

Ultimately, the best insights come from the people who actually do the work.

Thank you Samantha and Robert for organising the day, and thanks to everyone at Borgesius (and EZ Factory 😉) who showed up and made it what it was.

5 years ago, Lennart joined EZ Factory.
He has seen our company grow and as one of our back-end developers, Lennart has been building the foundation of amazing things in our EZ-GO platform like our skills module.

Five years of shipping, fixing, improving. Quietly making sure the platform that operators rely on every day actually works the way it should.

Meet our hero, Celine!

Celine joined EZ Factory in January 2026 as a Test Engineer. She makes sure that everything we build actually works, before it reaches a single production floor.

We asked Celine a few questions:

Improving and automating processes. I get a lot of satisfaction from preventing problems before users ever encounter them, and from continuously raising the quality bar of our software.

• 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗭 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆?
EZ Factory stood out to me because quality and process assurance are central to both the product and the organisation. The combination of technology, innovation, and directly supporting operators on the factory floor makes the work both challenging and meaningful.

Yesterday we had our quarterly meeting at EZ Factory.

Every quarter, we step back from the daily grind to look at the bigger picture. How are we tracking toward our goals? Where are we winning? Where do we need each other?

Time to look up from the work, talk about the work and enjoyed some delicious refreshments 😉.

Our three interns, Noah, Cindy and Evin, all completed their final assignments and graduated. What an achievement!

It's been great having them as part of the EZ Factory team. We wish them all the best for what's next, but first, a well-deserved holiday.

Atul joined EZ Factory in January 2026 as Chief Growth Officer. He brings 30+ years of large-scale manufacturing leadership, from greenfield factory builds in South-East Asia to running €3B operations across Europe, and a deep belief that the shop floor is where everything happens.
