Emission reporting becomes risky when too much depends on manual work.
At BASF, gas emission monitoring and reporting involved multiple systems and significant manual effort.

That meant reporting could take longer, corrections were harder to manage, and the risk of inconsistent data increased.

Together with Batenburg Magion, BASF expanded its AVEVA PI System to support a more reliable approach to emission management and data validation.

The case focused on turning complex operational data into consistent, validated, and compliant emission reports.
A key part of the solution was using PI Asset Framework, where calculations and reports were implemented. This allowed corrected data to automatically trigger recalculations, so users could keep working with reliable and up-to-date emission data.
