Most shipper contracts ban freight exchanges to protect high-value cargo. Fair enough, until that same rule blocks access to the most secure carriers in Europe.

In this month's issue of the Vigilant magazine by TAPA EMEA, we look at why treating all freight exchanges the same can quietly work against the security goals shippers are trying to protect.

TSR 1 and TSR 2-certified carriers operate under some of the strictest fleet, tracking and monitoring requirements in the industry — but a blanket "no freight exchange" clause can block access to exactly that pool when secure capacity is hardest to find.
