It’s one thing creating work and setting it loose into the world. It’s quite another to see it return years later in a magnificent publication. ‘Posters by Color’ by Thomas Castro highlights Amsterdam’s incredible collection of more than 20,000 posters - from underground protest stencils to benchmarking exhibition designs - with more than 500 posters arranged by colour. A beautiful way to discover connections between works from different times and places. And somewhere in the middle of all that history and visual culture, my Chaumont poster appears.❤️

Adrianna Bajkowska — Being a Designer

An illustrated publication that visualises the emotions and perspectives of young artists. The work is based on research conducted among two age groups: individuals aged 20–29 and those aged over 30. The author explored whether designers can express themselves through text or drawing. Using illustration, she juxtaposed the experiences of mature designers with the perspectives and ambitions of those at the start of their career path who are still searching for their artistic and design identity. The project creates a space for intergenerational dialogue, inviting reflection on the present moment, observation, and analysis of ongoing change.

Egor Severin — Contours of the Future

A conceptual project featuring a series of artefacts crafted from charcoal, shaped into the forms of design tools. Created using traditional woodcraft and charring techniques, the objects metaphorically reflect the shifting nature of contemporary design practices. Charcoal—a fragile and staining material—embodies the responsibility of the designer and their impact on the world. The project offers a critical perspective on the legacy and past values of the profession, inviting reflection on the role of designers in today’s society. These tool-artifacts leave both physical and symbolic marks with every touch and “use”—just as every project leaves behind traces for which the designer is accountable.

Zuzanna Tomaszewska — soluna
A set of ritual vessels created to support psychedelic therapy
with psilocybin. The vertical composition of five elements references the structure of a rite of passage: preparation, experience and integration. The combination of porcelain and PLA materials creates a tangible dialogue between complementary opposites. The engraved symbols draw on Slavic traditions, such as solar motifs and figures that embody light and shadow, as well as life and transformation. Soluna stems from an understanding of design as a tool for creating “quiet” care and consciously avoids the overstated aesthetics of pop psychedelia. Its subtle form and visual language function as an integral part of the therapeutic process. It is a material expression of an experience that requires calm, presence and intention.

Oliwia Głogowska — Imprints from Life
The project consists of three sets of stamps that allow users to create their unique graphic compositions. The stamp designs were inspired by marks, losses and imperfections discovered by the author in urban public spaces. What is typically considered unattractive or accidental has been transformed into tools for creating decorative fabric prints. This project is a personal record of the designer’s relationship with the city, an attempt to capture its traces in a functional form, encouraging creative experimentation and the appreciation of beauty in unconventional details.

Franciszek Wesołowski — Tekto
A modular piece of furniture designed for handicraft work in limited domestic space. It makes it possible to organise an ergonomic and mobile workstation and conveniently store materials and tools. It consists of four identical modules/tables which can be combined horizontally or vertically, adapting their arrangement to meet the needs and spatial conditions. This solution makes it possible to work in different body positions and easily reorganise the space. The furniture’s frame is made of red oak using the traditional Japanese technique of sashimono—joining elements without the use of metal connectors. The ramie cover, dyed with shibori and decorated with sashiko embroidery, makes it easy to keep things tidy and separates the workspace from the rest of the room.

Julia Szałapska — Against the Wind
A collection of five silhouettes inspired by Amelia Earhart’s iconic aviation style. The project explores the relationship between the body, garments, and wind.
Starting from observations of how fabric reacts to airflow — expanding, shifting around the body, stretching at seams, or revealing parts of the figure — the designer translates these movements into construction techniques. The resulting silhouettes symbolically capture the motion of wind-blown clothing while remaining fully functional.
