In slechts enkele weken tijd en met een beperkt budget een werkende app neerzetten voor zowel iOS als Android: dáár is Flutter ijzersterk in. 

Flutter is geschikt voor een brede range aan apps, maar het framework is lang niet altijd de beste keuze. Met name voor hardware-intensieve apps en apps die veel integraties met third party SKD’s vergen zouden wij het niet snel aanraden.

Het coronavirus had in 2021 nog steeds een ontwrichtende werking, maar gelukkig bleef een groot deel van het alledaagse leven gewoon doordraaien. Zo ook Pinch. Zo kunnen wij trots terugkijken op een productief jaar vol grotere en kleinere hoogtepunten.

Pinch blijft snel groeien, maar de Nederlandse arbeidsmarkt zit die groei meer en meer in de weg. Daarom opent Pinch nu een vestiging in Málaga, waar volgend jaar twaalf developers aan de slag moeten zijn. Klanten gaan niet doorhebben dat ze werken met developers in Spanje. Het enige dat ze merken: (nog) meer flexibiliteit dankzij de toegenomen capaciteit.

BMW, Toyota, besturingssysteem Ubuntu: het zijn bepaald niet de minste bedrijven die inzetten op Flutter. Met dit door Google ontwikkelde framework kunnen developers tegelijkertijd verschillende soorten applicaties maken. Niet alleen voor de mobiele platformen iOS en Android, maar ook voor web en desktop.

Deze manier van programmeren levert een trits voordelen op, waaronder tijdwinst.

Review of the week: Qmusic!! 📲

Qmusic is een van de grootste radiostations van Nederland. De missie van Q is om de dag van de luisteraars nét een beetje leuker te maken. Daarbij staat de interactie met de luisteraar centraal. In die interactie speelt de app een cruciale rol.

Samen met een enthousiast team van Qmusic, hebben we de app in 2018 geheel vernieuwd. Naast het meedenken over het concept, hebben we ook het design voor onze rekening genomen. En natuurlijk het app development.

Met de Qmusic app kun je vanzelfsprekend live radio luisteren en kijken, of kiezen voor een digitaal station naar keuze. Ook kun je je favoriete nummers eenvoudig opslaan, eventueel via Spotify of Apple Music.

De app is nu al meer dan 5.000 keer beoordeeld en scoort in de App Store een 4,7 van 5!
