Proud to announce that we have received the building permit for our new 100MW Warsaw datacenter.

I’m personally very proud of the design and our team — it represents the evolution of 15 years of datacenter design, engineering, and operations. With this future-ready design, we can accommodate our customers with custom cooling setups, adaptable power modules, and customizable white space fit-outs — all while maintaining a standardized design and construction permit.

Team meeting in our new AMS6 datacenter close to the Amsterdam Schiphol airport datacenter campus. The new 25.000m2 datacenter is located next to large greenhouses where we will deliver 40mw of heat to the greenhouses to grow crop without the use of natural gas.

Our new AMS4 15-18 MW IT datacenter in Sciene Park South is taking shape rapidly. Thanks to smart prefab and a scalable modular design the site is being installed in record time. Today we installed , helped by our cooling partners T&S Klimaattechniek , our Turbocor chillers on the roof as well as installed our prefab pump rooms and buffer tanks. ​​​​​​​​

With our near waterless cooling, Switch will reach PuE of 1,2 without wasting water. Combined with reusing an existing hall, a concrete slab , (once an old logistics building) makes us both the most modern AND the most sustainable datacenter in Amsterdam . Lowest latency within 2 km from Science Park and SouthEast. ​​​​​​​​

We hosted the aldermen of the Dutch city of Woerden in our AMS2 datacenter and had a great and positve discussion on how we as Switch Datacenters can help offering heat to the ''Poort van Woerden'' new residential and business area in order to contribute to a faster ''energy transition'' in the green city of Woerden.

Circle B, Rittal and Switch Datacenters have launched the first European Open Compute Project (OCP) Experience Center. The fully-functional OCP environment is located in one of the three facilities that Switch Datacenters operates in the Amsterdam area. The OCP Experience Center is available as a demo center, but may also be used for testing new OCP Accepted™ and OCP Inspired™ data centre environments and telco solutions.
