It has been quiet around here. I’ve been working on improving my art practice by adding more play. Next year I will be making more patterns with ‘more play’ in mind too.

Bravery Co. is an amazing company dedicated to creating beautiful scarves for scarf lovers and cancer survivors who have lost their hair due to chemo. Their scarves would make anyone feel beautiful, brave and confident.

This colorful painting is my entry for this years Bravery Co. design competition. Bold and bright colors to lift people up and create a little happiness.

In January I’m going to donate my hair to an organization that creates beautiful wigs for financially less fortunate woman affected by breast cancer.

Hepatica are beautiful blue flowers that grow on forrest floors. I made a colorful and dark pattern of them last September (swipe to see my original). This week I recolored and changed some small elements of my original Hepatica design and created a mini collection around it in soft quiet colors to calm my mind. This pattern is my entry for this weeks Spoonflower challenge.

We are starting the year positive (unfortunately)…

I loved seeing all the images so on the brink of the new year here is mine. I loved working more and more on patterns this year. I finally found my passion and will continue creating these colorful creations. I’ve learned so much this year and want to thank all who support me, believe in me and inspire me. Thank you and a happy new year for you and yours!

Happy winter solstice! I recolored my solstice prints and added a touch of Very Peri to test it out. I’m not sure I love the color palettes Pantone suggests to make Very Peri shine, but the color it self is growing on me.

Did I mention I love to paint? I love to paint :) I enjoy the occasional beautiful oops, that only happens with real paints on paper. It is mesmerizing to watch how paint flows and colors mix.⁠⁠
This coming week I'll be uploading more of my art to my website and my shop on Society6.
I'm also working on the admin side of my biz. Checking all my files, make (new and improved) swatches and catalogue them properly in Airtable. How do you stay on top of things? ⁠⁠⁠

I wouldn’t mind sleeping under this colorful cover. This blue green yellow combo is the original color way. Which one do you like best, yesterday’s or today’s colors?

‘Leave the feathers’ in fall colors. While I type this, I’m thinking it is more a tropical bird feather pattern than fall leaves that look like feathers 🤷‍♀️
This painterly style is something I want to explore more off and get more comfortable with.
