Some highlights from the World of Industry, Technology & Science show in Utrecht: very nice and surprisingly affordable test jigs from ingun, crimping tools designed for small hands from Weidmüller, an algae growing reactor, a fri3d badge, and some nice test equipment that we hope R&S will donate to us.

Highlights from day two of embedded world - Efficient, a low power, reconfigurable 'data flow' processor from CMU, Wurth electronics sells books!, low-carbon organic supercaps by Ligna, an ASML stroopwafel, silicon molds for prototyping complex shapes, raspberry Pi's new cameras with embedded vision processing unit that is configured over the existing camera I2C bus, and webit's reram technology that targets high density process nodes where traditional flash doesn't embed well.

Some highlights from day one of embedded world- customizable printed ePaper displays, LTO batteries with high charge/discharge capability, tinyvision's pico-ice, extremely tiny flash chips from gigadevices, and seeed studios new sensecap device. Now to rest up for day two

We had a large PCB to assemble, and the solder paste stencil was way too big to fit in our usual stencil jig. Luckily .lu had some clamps stored away, so with a bit of wood and some 3d printing, we were able to get an improvised stenciling jig set up. It worked great, and we successfully assembled a batch of 500mm boards with QFN and 0402 parts spread across them.
