This day has come…!

Today is a day we are celebrating as we proudly announce the launch of the first-ever SECURITY MARKETPLACE powered by hackers! 🎉

We are so excited to share with you what we have been working on behind the scenes!

With the mission to grow a healthier security industry, we are providing more affordable solutions and low-key access, facilitating a continuum of security, while moving away from thinking of security as static checks, controls, and measurements in scheduled yearly cycles.

So, what sets the new Zerocopter apart? We genuinely believe that security should be accessible for each and every one of you who is facing challenges due to the high pace of technological evolution, struggling to manage all needed skills and/or expertise, and dealing with the lack of resources. That is why we created this security open-shop. Our goal is to add security value at the very moment that you need it, eliminating vendor lock-ins and the pressure to upsell. We have a vast network of hand-picked, highly skilled hackers ready to address any challenges you might face regarding your security.

On top of that, we know most of the currently available security solutions were created by a hacker at some point in time. Recognizing the value of those solutions, we aim to make them more accessible and amplify their impact on a global scale for our common future, where we need to work together to stay digitally robust. Today we want to introduce you to our ultimate galactic emperor... oh, we mean the Technical Product Owner at Zerocopter, Adrianus Warmenhoven! 🚀With the power to rule over any technological challenge, Adrianus is responsible for translating product owner wishes into technical language that developers can understand and implement!

Adrianus is a true tech expert with a passion for cybersecurity. With his extensive experience in building ISPs, designing anti-viruses, and being the CISO of a large Dutch cybersecurity company, he knows his way around the digital world!

As we’ve recently told you, our CPO and philosophical nerd, Renza Gruter, has been preparing a read that explores security solutions from a different perspective. This blog is not about providing easy solutions but rather about exploring the solution space! 💫

Renza believes that our industry needs to adopt a broader perspective that goes beyond just commercial thinking, P&Ls, and profitability. She is deep diving into the ethical challenges that our industry is facing. Also, she is sharing the findings from her small study on her hypothesis of structuring all security providers in the Netherlands in a defense stack to ensure complete coverage of security needs. Happy International Women's Day!💐
Today, we want to celebrate all women out there and recognize their remarkable impact on the world!

Using the occasion, we would like to thank all the women who paved the way in a male-dominated tech and security industry: from Ada Lovelace and Grace Hopper to every single woman who keeps making a difference nowadays.

We would also like to give a special shoutout to Women In Cybersecurity Community Association (WICCA), where one of the co-founders is our Head of Researchers, Chantal Stekelenburg. WICCA is a circle of women in cybersecurity, and we would like to thank them for breaking stereotypes and creating opportunities for all women in cybersecurity to learn, improve and develop. And as the world's first computer programmer, Ada Lovelace, once said:

"The more I study, the more insatiable do I feel my genius for it to be."

“I don’t have much with policies or regulations. I am a hacker!”,- says our CTO, Edwin van Andel.

We finally chased him down to share a few words about Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD) and the new Network and Information Security directive (NIS2)! And spoiler alert - apparently, this is a commercial post, so hackers, there is nothing here for you. Just scroll further!

But for the people who would like to know more about CVD milestones in the Netherlands, read on!

In order for hackers to do what they are doing best - helping you be more secure online, the presence of policies and guidelines is vital. These create a safe harbour for hackers while they are helping and protecting you!

Fortunately, a few years ago, the Responsible Disclosure policy was introduced, which later on was adapted to the Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure policy (CVD). And now, its importance is gaining momentum due to the recent publication of the new directive NIS2.
