Tonight was one of those “AI feels real” evenings.

We (AI enthusiasts, nerds, and entrepreneurs) joined an OPENCLAW session hosted by a super cool mix of communities: + ML Ops Community, LangWatch, and AI House Amsterdam.

Panel: From Copilot to Autopilot

• Nick Smaling: BCG expert (Amsterdam) focused on tech + digital transformation and scaling AI.

✨ A Day With UPS x Forward Inc — My Highlights

Today in Eindhoven, I joined a special session with UPS organized by Forward Inc. It was one of those days that stays with you. I had the chance to sit with UPS leaders, listen to their journeys, and share mine during a 1-on-1 conversation.

🤝 Real Connections
I met people who started their careers loading packages, moved across countries, learned new skills, and stepped into leadership roles. Hearing how they grew inside the company showed me how far dedication and resilience can take you.

Many of them worked across Europe, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Every story showed how mobility and ambition can open new doors.

One message stood out: UPS was built by entrepreneurs. That made the conversation feel personal. It reminded me why I believe so strongly in building things that solve real problems.

The debate between Quality, Efficiency or Speed and Productivity.

The decision to focus on productivity or efficiency will depend on the specific goals and needs of the team or organization.
If the team or organization is looking to increase output and achieve a high level of results, then a focus on productivity may be more appropriate. This approach is often beneficial in situations where there is a high level of competition, tight deadlines, or a need to increase market share.
On the other hand, if the team or organization is looking to improve processes, reduce costs, or increase efficiency, then a focus on efficiency may be more appropriate. This approach is often beneficial in situations where there is a need to streamline processes, improve quality, or increase scalability.
Ultimately, both productivity and efficiency are important, and a balance between the two should be strived for. In certain situations, it may be necessary to sacrifice some level of efficiency in order to achieve a high level of productivity and vice versa.
