Lighting breakdown!

Break down of a scene from a music video. The restaurant already looked amazing with its warm colours and chandeliers.

We added our own bulbs and pocket lights to the practicals and dialed in a warm colour (it was somewhere on the colour wheel, I don't remember the exact colour).

An Astera titan tube was placed as a top/back light for our lead, but it lifted the overall ambiance as well.
Out of frame on the left is a Nova P300C panel with 1/2 WD, adding shape to the scene.

I used a bicolor flex panel at 3200k with a pancake as a key light for all three people at the table. And last but not least, a Dedolight DLED 4 + 1/1 CTO bouncing on the table for fill and highlighting the food.

Thanks for the wait with us! The Parallel Beam Intensifier aligns the light output to a narrow 14° beam. On the Orion 675 FS this results in a powerful circle of light of more than 60,000 LUX at a distance of two meters, great for bouncing off reflector panels as a nice sunbeam.

Raffael Pollak, lighting designer at dedolight, runs through the new dedolight DT-Neo ballast and how this interfaces with the latest range of dedolight light heads.

Now one universal ballast will drive all 34 of the latest dedolight LED lights from 20-90 watts, whether they are monocolor, bi-color, infrared or ultraviolet.

* DMX – always on-board
* Perfect 8-bit or advanced DMX control to RDM. 16-bit, smooth or linear, firmware upgradability

Dedo Weigert, cinematographer and CEO, Aleksej Berkovic, DOP, Robert Demmelmayr, electronical engineer, and Raffael Pollak, lighting designer, focused on the development of a revolutionary new LED driver generation during the past year, while travel was disrupted by the pandemic.
Our new DTN dedolight neo LED ballast will drive all dedolight LED Systems from 20 to 90 Watt: Monocolor, Bi-Color, Infrared & Ultraviolet.
It is based on a novel technical platform of advanced electronics and packed in a housing with a unified connector layout.
The system will auto sense the connected lighthead and automatically adjust the electronic settings and display. Interchangeable attachments allow battery or AC operation. An Accessory for mounting can be attached through an extrusion profile rail.
The requirements of our broad customer base changed considerably since the original dedolight hit the market over 30 years ago. Over the years solutions had been tailored to each customer resulting in various electronics. The lightbridge system is not a piece of gear for me, but a way of thinking, a part of my workflow. Perfect to keep the floors empty, but even better, working with sunlight, no power needed on this scene.
