Our Webit website has a brand new home page re-design! 🥳

We been working super hard to make our home page branding match our values and messaging.

Usually when creating a website it is wise to start with the mobile implementation first.

Therefore, we decided to design a mobile only layout for today’s challenge.

Mobile design can be quite boring with the limitations of the screen size.

We created this simple yet aesthetically pleasing layout for a documentary film about flamingos.

The heading elements spell “Documentary” and “FILM”. We thought that it is quite a nice play on the horizontal and vertical axis.

Primary color: ffffff
Secondary color: 1c2826

The final result was fully developed and designed using our Webit editor.

A bit of a simpler design today. The design is based around one column.

The image shows some kind of event or festival. We thought to create a promotional page for such an event.

The larger graphic really glues the layout together.

Both the large and the small graphics are taken from thenounproject.

We got this interesting shot of a gentleman wearing a suit.

We focused on the suit and created an article inspired hero section.

We are using a 12 column grid to align elements. We added a bit of flare with the rounded text.

The image and the logo are shifted on a 30deg angle.

Today we got this beautiful shot of a flower.

We are not entirely sure if the copy used in the layout is accurate to the flower. We just reverse image searched on Google and hoped for accurate results.

Originally we wanted to have the flower centered, taking the full width of the viewport but we were struggling to add information on the right side of the screen.

The current design seems quite balanced. We really focused on aligning elements to a 12 column grid.

Today’s digital creation is a sustainable soap web store.

We didn’t use a grid for this design 😅

We wanted to focus on soap shapes. We have a mix of ovals and squares that matches the soaps in the images.

While getting the image from unsplash we saw that there were a few more pictures from the same photographer and decided to add one more picture for balance.
