3 Weeks. 3 Tracks. Incredible Innovation. 🚀
When we opened the doors to our brand-new Innovation Hub here in Bayelsa for the Nibi's Tech Holiday Bootcamp, we set out with a clear goal: to give young minds (ages 7–16) the hands-on skills, confidence, and tools to build real-world solutions.
Yesterday, we officially wrapped up, and looking back at what these students accomplished in just three weeks is nothing short of inspiring.
Here is a look inside what went down:
🤖 Junior Coding & Robotics (Ages 7–10)
Our youngest innovators didn't just play—they built. Using Lego bricks and Quarky robots by STEMpedia, they mastered the fundamentals of logic and visual programming, culminating in them building their very own functional games from scratch.
💡 Senior Coding & Robotics (Ages 11–16)
The senior track dove headfirst into hardware engineering and microcontrollers. Working with Arduino Uno and ESP32 boards, they learned the mechanics of circuit design and signal processing. By combining inputs (ultrasonic, proximity, flame, and PIR motion sensors) with outputs (servo motors, buzzers, and LEDs), every student built functional system connections, sat for assessments, and proved they understand the backbone of modern tech.
✨ Resin Arts & Entrepreneurship
Creativity met commerce in our Resin track. Students tackled the foundation of epoxy resin work—mastering mix ratios, safety protocols, silicone molds, heat guns, and deburring tools. They crafted custom keychains and bag tags, but we didn't stop at design. They also learned cost analysis and pricing structures needed to run a sustainable craft business.
🎙️ Brand & Communication Masterclass
To top it all off, we hosted renowned On-Air Personality Debbie Omorozi for an interactive session on "Your Brand is Your Voice." Joined by both the Senior Robotics and Resin Arts tracks, the students engaged in live roleplays and learned a vital business lesson: your brand isn't just your logo or colors—it is how people perceive your value and message.
To every parent who trusted us, and to every single student who brought their curiosity, energy, and determination to the hub every day—thank you for believing in Nibi's Tech. 🎓
What’s Next?
As schools across Bayelsa resume on Monday, the learning doesn't stop. While we prepare for the upcoming flood break season, Nibi's Tech will be running weekend Saturday classes to keep our students building, coding, and creating.
Registration for our Saturday sessions is now open!
