You are alive to see yet another year is not by coincidence nor by luck, it happened all because God has destined it to be so and for that fact HE will not abandon you “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end” Jeremiah 29:11(KJV).

Harp Lager, (sometimes marketed asHarp Irish Lager) is a Vienna-style Irish lager brand created in 1960 by the Guinness Brewery(now Diageo) in its Dundalk brewery. It is a leading lager brand in Ireland, and is also popular in Australia, Canada, Africa and the United States. The product is brewed in the Dundalk brewery in Ireland and the Hydesbrewery in Great Britain. In Great Britain distribution is handled by Bargain Beer Supplies.
Harp’s taste has been several times recognized by the international qualityinstitute Monde Selectionwho awarded the brand with 6 Gold Quality Awardsduring the years. [ 1 ]However, Monde Selection awards are non-competitive and only products that pay to enter are judged.
History
Harp Lagerwas first produced in 1960 as a bottled beer by the Guinnesscompany (now Diageo), in response to the trend among drinkers in Britain and Ireland towards continental lager. Guinness converted its Dundalk brewery into a modern lager production plant with the guidance of Dr. Herman Muender, a distinguished German brewer. [ 2 ]Various names were considered for the brand, includingAtlas,CrestaandDolphin, beforeHarpwas chosen. [ 3 ]The brand was marketed with the Brian Boru harpas its emblem.
The manufacturer states thatHarpis made with pure water from the Cooley Mountains, Dundalk. [ 4 ]
By 1961 a consortium of brewers, Courage, Barclay & Simonds, Scottish & Newcastle, Bass, Mitchells & Butlersand Guinness, grouped together as Harp Lager Ltd to brew and market the beer. [ 5 ] [ 6 ]Courage's Alton Brewery, whereCourage Director'shad been brewed, was rebuilt to produce the lager in Great Britain. [ 3 ]
By 1964, the product was being sold on draught and led in its category for sales. Members of the Harp consortium changed over the years, with Courage and Scottish & Newcastle leaving in 1979, but becoming franchisees. [ 7 ]Currently available on draught, and in 330ml and 500ml bottles, its top markets are Ireland, Australia, Canada, Africa, United States, according to Diageo. [ 4 ]In 2005, Harp saw a makeover. Diageo Ireland separated the brand from Guinness.
Today,Harpis brewed in the Dundalk brewery for Ireland and Hydes Breweryfor Great Britain. In Australia, distribution is handled by Carlton & United Breweries.
As of the Autumn of 2010, Harp continues to be brewed in Dundalk but tankers are sent to Dublin to be kegged for the on trade market. Cans and bottles are packaged by IBC in Belfast. On 9 May 2008, Diageo Ireland announced that it would close the Dundalk Brewery along with the Kilkenny Brewery over a five-year period. [ 8 ]
Marketing
For many years the slogan "Harpstays sharp" was used in advertisements. It was written by the advertising executive Rod Allen. [ 9 ]Recently it has used the slogan "Look on theHarpside".

Star LITE is brewed with 100% natural ingredients; the finest Malted Barley, high quality Hops, and the best quality water. Similar to STAR beer, Star LITE contains no additives and no preservatives. Both STAR and Star LITE are additive free.
Star LITE contains fewer calories compared to other standard lager beers. This can be as much as 40% less calories. Due to the use of only natural ingredients it contains significant less calories, no fats, plenty of proteins, and vitamin B.
How does the temperature indicator work, and at what temperature will it turn blue?
Star LITE is the first beer in Nigeria with a temperature sensitive indicator, so you know when your beer is cold enough for you. The indicator is on the front label and changes color when the beer is at the best cold temperature for you to drink: "When the icon turns blue, the beer is cold enough for you”
The indicator is a temperature sensitive ink which changes color at a particular temperature.
Full blue will occur at 6 degrees Celsius and below.

Star Lite is made of 100% Natural Ingredients: Malted Barley, Hops and Water. Star Lite contains up to 40% less calories versus standard lager beers so its less filling.

It is one of the early established/founded supermarket&pharmacy Store in World Bank Housing Estate Umuahia Abia State.. It is also recognized as one of the biggest stores in the whole Estate of World Bank.. According to past records, within 2000-2006 it had the highest sales recorded in Umuahia as a whole.. Due to so many competitors and the wild opening of shops in Umuahia today, Bps is now clocking the 10th best selling stores in the Estate of World Bank and the 25th in Umuahia as a whole.. Bps Stores has made a mighty Name for itself and has left a legacy in the Estate of World Bank and the whole of Umuahia.. I believe with time, we shall bounce back to our former position during the previous years!...
