FIX_IT (NO BOOTABLE DEVICE)
That moment when you get that annoying screen display that says "No bootable device or no windows installed"
It can be frustrating because this is a system you used not too long ago..
Here are some causes;
1) Your hard drive is not making enough contact with it's port (maybe due to a fall or forced contact)
2) Your legacy boot is not properly set up
3) You probably have not installed an O.S
Solutions
1) Carefully look at the side or flip over of your laptop 💻 depending on where the manufacturer placed your hard drive, access the hard drive and if loosely attached, attach it properly.
2) If you're sure the (1) above is in place, follow the steps below;
a) Put off the system
b) press the power button and then f2 almost immediately and hold
c) You've entered the system setup, go to configuration and then "BOOT DEVICES"
d) use f5/f6 or arrow as the case may be to make "HDD" the first bootable device and then activate "legacy boot" as well.
e) save settings and your system will boot up immediately
3) If you've not installed an O.S if it's a new system or you bought a new hard drive, get an O.S for installation
If you've tried all these and still can't fix your PC issues which we doubt, you can still reach us via the comment section or
