Every drop 🩸counts

Nigeria today faces a critical shortage of voluntary blood donors, with most of its blood supply relying on replacement and family donors rather than altruistic voluntary donations. This results in delays in life-saving transfusions, particularly for pregnant women, accident victims, and individuals with blood disorders like sickle cell disease.

This act of Hope done in Falomo community was championed by Rotary Club of Ikoyi in collaboration with Ikoyi Club and Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service

This initiative strengthened stakeholder participation and promoted voluntary blood donation, increasing public awareness and ensuring safe blood supply in the community

There were over 100 volunteers who not only donated but committed to regular voluntary blood donation
