It's without doubt that the people of Kogi State central (Anèbira) are fully anticipating the upcoming 2019 general election and, we're all desperate to see our candidates being announced the winner.

Meanwhile, we would like to have your view as regard to who you think is more likely to emerge as the winner of the KC Senatorial election and why you think so. As you comment, we would exalt your being polite; moreso, the use of vulgar is highly restricted in this group.

The contestants, as arranged in the figure below, are: Sen. Salawu Ahmed Ogembe, representing the People's Democratic Party (PDP); Barrister Natasha H. Akpoti, representing the Social Democratic Party (SDP); and Alhaji Yakubu Oseni representing the All Progressive Congress (APC).

WE MUST RESCUE KOGI FROM APC MISRULE - ologbondiyan

The National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has stressed the need for party stakeholders in Kogi state to work relentlessly to rescue the state from the “misrule” of the All Progressive Congress (APC) administration.

The party spokesman gave the advice when he played host to the immediate past governor of the state, Captain Idris Wada, who paid him a courtesy visit at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Wednesday.

Ologbodiyan, who is an indigene of the state, lamented that the level of governance in Kogi state is abysmally low as he noted that citizens have become worse off since the APC administration came on board.

He said: “Our dear Kogi state is in tatters. Our people are hungry. They are sick and cannot afford to go to the hospital. Death by su***de is on the increase as workers can no longer earn their entitlements as at when due.

“Kogi state is far worse than where you (Wada) left it. We must join hands to rescue our state.”
He challenged all party leaders to intensify the campaign of marketing PDP in their respective domains, as according to him, “we must begin to re-invent PDP in Kogi state and structure it towards winning the next election and rescue our people.”
In his remarks, Captain Wada noted that since Ologbondiyan assumed office as the spokesman of the party, he has successfully changed the poor public perception of the party.
The former governor said that his visit was to personally encourage the PDP spokesman on the good job he is doing.
He noted that since he left office, Kogi state had always been in the news for the wrong reasons.

Wada recalled that his administration had a 10-year template that would have transformed the state, but regretted that the present administration had stagnated the state.
He, however, expressed optimism that the former ruling party will return to power in the state.
