NWAFOR ORIZU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION NSUGBE (NOCEN) MAKES GLOBAL HISTORY AND UPGRADES ITS TECHNOLOGICAL PROWESS

Nwafor Orizu College of Education Makes Global History with the Official Launch of Vicilook RoadPath Scan2Look Technology.

Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), has set a remarkable milestone by becoming the first College of Education in the world—and the first tertiary institution in Anambra State—to officially launch the groundbreaking Vicilook RoadPath Scan2Look technology. The historic unveiling took place at noon on 18th November, marking a new era of digital transformation and smart-campus navigation for the institution.

The installation and launch event was graced by the futuristic and technologically forward-thinking Provost, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, who personally unveiled the innovation. She was accompanied by key members of the College’s Management Team, including the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Ndu Azubuike; the Registrar, Mrs Edith Nwoye; the Director of Works, Engr Nmamdi Onyili; as well as the executive members of the current Student Union Government (SUG).

During the ceremony, the innovation pioneering Provost delivered an insightful address highlighting the immense importance of the Scan2Look technology. She encouraged all staff, students, and visitors to embrace the Vicilook RoadPath Signage System—an innovation designed to revolutionize how individuals access information and navigate the campus. By simply scanning the RoadPath QR code with any internet-enabled mobile device, users can instantly:

* Locate any office or facility on campus using text search or your voice.

* Connect directly with staff offices using text search or your voice.

* Access real-time campus notices, announcements, and updates.

* Explore campus services, tools, and digital resources.

* Interact with the current SUG leadership.

* Access Alumni Yearbooks and other digital archives.

* Engage with NOCEN’s official mobile game, NOCEN Pix Quiz.

*One tap access to the students portal.

* Enjoy a wide variety of other innovative Vicilook-powered features.

The amiable Provost also went further to thank the current governor of the state, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on whose vision, mandate and movement (Technology Everywhere, Everything Technology) the College piggy banks on, that without him no ongoing general transformation in the school would currently be possible.

This state-of-the-art tech offers real-time virtual assistance, enabling anyone to connect seamlessly with everything the College provides—without the need for physical guidance from any staff member.

The Founder and CEO of Vicilook, Dickson Cliff Okechukwu, was also present at the event, expressing his profound appreciation to the entire College community for their enthusiastic adoption of the Vicilook ecosystem. He acknowledged the institution’s support across all components of the project, including the Vicilook Campus Explorer, Vicilook Academic Office, Vicilook Yearbook, the NOCEN Connect Android App, NOCEN Pix Quiz Mobile Game, and ultimately, the installation of the RoadPath Scan2Look Signage System, which brings the entire project together.

He proceeded to give a brief but engaging live demonstration of how the technology works, guiding attendees through its features and encouraging them to scan the signage themselves to experience the system’s capabilities firsthand. He also addressed technical questions from students and staff.

The landmark event concluded with a group photograph capturing the Provost, the College Management Team, the SUG executives, the Vicilook Founder & CEO, and other attendees—symbolizing a proud moment in NOCEN’s journey towards becoming a truly innovative and digitally empowered institution, on a mammoth and global scale.

An institution worthy of being tagged a trend and pace setter in this tech age.

We are very excited to launch the NOCEN Pix Quiz Game 1.0.
It's actually the second Game we developed via Vicilook and hosted on the Vicilook Game Vicinity and the School's community is very pleased and excited about it.
We came up with this initiative to help mainly students to familiarize and test their local knowledge of their current vicinity but in a very fun way.
That's the essence of Vicilook Vision.
We are currently developing games for various forms of communities to help locales discover and know more about their current communities in a cool and fun way.
The coolest thing about the Vicilook Game Vicinity is that is directly powered by the data and contents on Vicilook.
Gradually we are expanding our Ecosystem. ✊🎊💥
You can still visit https://vicilook.com/game/nocen-pix-quiz-game-1-0/ to try the Game or just feel its UI and UX out of curiosity. ❤️
