I HAVE PVC, BUT I WON'T VOTE, I CAN'T STAY INSIDE SUN
Fr. Victor Makinwa Ogunyemi
CESACC, Catholic Institute of West Africa Port Harcourt.
Just yesterday I was discussing with a friend and the friend said "I have PVC but I won't vote, I can't go and stay inside the sun."
Freedom and true democracy can't be achieved without some personal sacrifice you make as a citizen.
By now, none of us needs a soothsayer to tell us that we're suffering in Nigeria and our suffering is coming to us from wrong leaders we have allowed to hold the reins of power over the years due to our apathy towards electioneering and voting in particular.
What's the essence of having a voter's card that's not put to use? It is as good as having a weapon for protection and you refuse to use it when aggressors come around you to attack you.
PVC is not an archival material rather a tool to be used basically for electoral activities, it is in Nigeria for example that someone obtains such for other reasons other than what it is meant for.
It is high time we started calling ourselves to order and spoke the truth to ourselves.
Nigerians should not be like a people that Apostle Paul lamented over, as he cried out "O foolish Galatians, who bewitched you?" Enough of bewitching, enough of self destructive attitude, enonugh of acting to limit ourselves.
Now that you have read this, share this with others, so that more people will have access to this enlightenment.
This time, we must be wise as serpent, shine our eyes and be more vigilant.
All the attitude of 'wetin concern me with una election' should be seen as suicidal attitude and very much unfair to our current plight.
Go and get your PVC!
Please, tell people to get their PVCs!
Pastors of souls mounting pulpits should use the pulpit to promote this message!
A child of God without a PVC is a partner of Pharaoh enslaving the children of God.
