Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. Today should be a day of pride, but instead, it is a reminder of the pain our beloved country has brought us. Our leaders have failed us, filling our hearts with despair instead of hope. They have abandoned the vision of a prosperous Nigeria, leaving us stranded in poverty and corruption. But we, the people, are also to blame. We have stood by, watching the nation fall apart, refusing to hold ourselves accountable. Nigeria will never change if we, its citizens, do not first change ourselves. A better Nigeria begins with us.
