As DigiSkills Makurdi: AI Tools Bootcamp comes to a successful close, we are proud to celebrate the remarkable young people and students who committed their time, energy, and curiosity to this transformative learning experience.

One of the most memorable moments of the programme was the presentation of certificates and the opportunity to capture group photographs that symbolize more than participation—they represent growth, collaboration, and a shared commitment to embracing the future of technology.

Over the course of two days, participants learned, experimented, collaborated, and discovered how Artificial Intelligence can be used to create opportunities in education, business, careers, and everyday life.

To all participants: congratulations on completing the DigiSkills Makurdi AI Tools Bootcamp. Your enthusiasm and dedication made this programme a tremendous success.

We are grateful to the Mandela Washington Fellows Alumni Association of Nigeria (MWFAAN) for making this initiative possible through the Inter-Cohort Grant and for investing in the future of young people in Benue State.

Two days of learning.
Two days of innovation.
Two days of discovering the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence.

One of the greatest highlights of the DigiSkills Makurdi: AI Tools Bootcamp was witnessing the enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity of participants as they explored the practical applications of AI.

Throughout the bootcamp, participants gained hands-on experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Canva AI, and Google NotebookLM for academic research, business development, career advancement, content creation, and productivity.

Beyond learning the tools, participants were challenged to think critically, collaborate in teams, and experiment with real-world AI applications. From discussing opportunities and risks of AI to developing practical solutions for business, education, and career growth, the level of engagement was truly inspiring.

Perhaps the most rewarding part was hearing participants share how their perceptions of AI changed over the course of the programme and how they intend to apply these skills in their personal and professional lives.

Over two intensive days, participants will gain practical experience using powerful AI tools including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Canva AI, and Google NotebookLM, while learning how to apply them to business development, CV writing, content creation, productivity, and academic research.

This initiative reflects our commitment to building an AI-ready generation equipped with the skills needed to compete and thrive in today’s digital economy.
