If everyone on your timeline suddenly looks old, have no fear, the world isn’t over yet! Face App is a facial feature modification application available for and users. What does this mean? You take or upload a picture and the app applies filters that modify your face - make you look older, younger or even change hairstyles!

So, what’s all the buzz about?

Rumour has it that the app is part of a huge conspiracy. Why? Apart from being a Russian-born app, FaceApp's privacy policy states that the app pulls data like your location, IP address and browsing history. Why does a face modification software need all that info?

Others believe that FaceApp is no different from the , , , we use everyday.

📖 You will still be able to see the number of likes you received, however, you can’t see that of others and no one else can see yours.

🔗 Will this be beneficial for your or not? Well, if Instagram keeps its current - the popular posts from the popular users will still make it to the top. So, this is more a tool to aid social media self esteem than to boost businesses.
