*If you do not believe you can, no one else will*

In the year 2019, the concept of Hood Group hit me. I love investing so I was looking for investment opportunities as usual and I came across the book "21 lessons for the 21st century by Yuval Noah"

I found it intriguing but I realized something, my country was in deeper problems than I thought and if this continues, it would be chaotic.

I started researching into artificial intelligence, corporate structures and designed a system that could work but it meant an organization has to be created, the vision of the Hood, and that my friend, was the opposite of the Amiegbe Christian of 2019.

The reason I love investing is the freedom attached to it, it is passive income, you never have to worry about the day to day management issues and out of nowhere a system comes to mind that revolves around creating change, but would require my active involvement, which would it be?

I did not want to run an organization so I decided not to do it, just pitch the system to someone else, show them the problem curve and the system to balance it out over time and minimize if not eliminate it's impact. Yes you guessed right, no one saw the problem the way I did, the ones who did said it is a huge responsibility to take on. The irony of it was the more I tried to push it off me, the stronger the vision kept coming.

One day I froze, " I know I'm great with money and my investment portfolio is growing, I have 2 options, it is either I shut my eyes, keep investing, get super rich and when the problem does escalate as predicted, regret that you did not attempt it or do the best you can for the Hood , what is the worst that can happen, you fail, waste some time and still move on with your investments but with this no regrets because you tried.

Now, this is not about Hood Group or how it came to be, it is about the moment of realization that there are some things that you must get done and you must believe you can.

When you look at yourself, who do you see?

What do you believe about yourself? Do you see yourself as ordinary or a royal one?

Do you believe that you are equipped to do what needs to be done?

I believe in you.

Today I wrote a piece for a sister organization TLN founded by my friend and mentor, Darasimi Ademola... A piece on who our true heroes are, the sacrifice and pains they had to go through.

Yes pain, that word scares a lot of people. It once scared me, maybe even you as well my friend.

The situation hurts sometimes and you might often wonder, can I really pull through this?

My friend, I would not fool you, the process of growth is hard, and it will always be until you decide you have grown to a point that you do not want to grow anymore...(At that level, you would be so used to growth you would not want to stop)

You have to understand that it is an internal battle as much as external

You are going against every fibre of your current being, it craves comfort, security, that which is familiar but deep within you understand that it's either you settle for your current level's comfort or push for progress... You cannot have both (definitely not on that level)

Sometimes nature has its ways, if you are meant to be more, you will end up in situations or with people that would force you to grow... A situation where growth means survival, but the pain wouldn't be less.

My friend, I know you feel the pain of growth, I feel them too.

However, there's beauty to growth and if you look pass the pain, you'll see the elevation. It goes way beyond money, influence, power...these are external rewards.

Within, you'll feel more fulfilled, self confident, disciplined and unstoppable but most importantly, you will smile with pride that you didn't give up.

Pain Today. Greater Gains Tomorrow

I believe in your growth.

What limiting lie have you been feeding yourself?

Yes, you are probably rolling your eyes wondering what I would have to say, that story and identity you've built to protect yourself... Your very Ego.

Ego in simple words is who you think you are.

Its your self constructed image of who believe you are.

It's the part of you that clings on tight to your beliefs, thoughts, opinions... In short your story that makes up your identity.

Your Ego makes you feel threatened when you come across an idea, opinion that is not familiar with yours, you become resistant to it, that's why you feel the need to argue, scream out in frustration, be judgemental... It is basically your Ego screaming, "no its not right" , "it's not done this way" , "you cannot follow that pattern"

It views everything that goes contrary to what you know or believe you know as alien and its natural impulse is to attack

However, On your Growth Journey, there would be need to rebuild certain mindsets and beliefs that would be foreign to you.

You have to recognize your resistance to it as just a story, a story you believe that is not necessarily true, one you can change

For instance, a person with low self esteem due to past experience might believe he/she is not good enough, that is just a story which can be constructively changed

Our Ego is there to protect us but we must be aware of how we react to things, how judgemental we get.

We must learn to analyze contrary opinions and see if they're constructive on our growth journey.

I believe in you

Hood Day Starter Kit

The past hurts sometimes.

Realizing what we could have done better has its way of hitting hard.

But we cannot afford to dwell on our past errors, in order to develop ourselves, we must learn to ABORT.

1) A- Admit your mistakes:- Accept that you've made a mistake and you're willing to take responsibility for it.

2) B- Be honest to yourself:- How are you truly feeling about this. Are you scared to make another attempt? Are you constantly blaming yourself?...

3) O- Open your heart to it :- There are lessons to be learnt, after admitting how you feel. You must understand that your mistakes are not to keep you down but to teach you a lesson for another day, so open yourself to its lessons.

4) R- Realistically draft a new plan:- You failed before so what, you made a mistake, then what next. You have to restrategize and design an action plan.

5) T- Try Again:- Well you now have a plan, so what are you waiting for champion. Use the lessons from your past errors and equip yourself better this time.

Oh you made another mistake, well my friend, Just ABORT.

Hood Day Starter Kit

It's a beautiful new day but you're slightly down my friend.
You have seen so many posts about productivity, pushing forward and you keep comparing yourself to others.

You feel stuck, drained, you've been at it for years and no headway seems to come.

All you might need is to try it from another angle, a different direction, you need to tackle it.

T- Tap into your mind :- Your mind is your greatest asset. Use it, think up a different approach that could work.

A- Access your Will Power :- Brace yourself for something new, activate your vision, understand your reason Why and draw strength from it.

C- Change your strategy :- You've thought about it and know you know why, it's time to change that strategy of yours.

K- Kill Procrastination :- change is difficult so you need to act on it immediately. You will try to put some things off but discipline yourself to go for it.

L- Leave Negativity :- With change comes a shift in your circle, everyone would sense the difference but not everyone would have something positive to say about it. It's perfectly okay, filter out the negativity and proceed.

E- Embrace your reality :- Embrace the process, give it time, give it your best and keep growing.

As your personal development coach, your Growth matters the most to me.

Stay strong, keep building and keep winning my friend.

Hood Day Starter Kit

Happy new month my friend.

As we journey into this new month, it's essential that we shed something powerful that limits us from reaching our potentials.

A couple years ago, my exact fear about business was, "it's so time consuming", I thought investing would simply be enough and while investments are amazing, it doesn't create solutions to problems that must be solved so I had to embrace that fear and push through.

The thing that makes fear so powerful is that, it's valid. It's not a lie or an imaginary fallacy you are conjuring up, even though we tend to magnify those fear in our hearts.

So here are three proven strategies, it's as simple as ABC

1) Awareness - You must be aware of what scares you. Identify what it's like, how it makes you feel and what it triggers in you.

2) Break it down- Then break your fears down into manageable challenges. For instance in my case of worrying about time consumption being inevitable in business, I broke this down by noting I could work on my time management, improve productivity, delegate more responsibilities, improve my leadership capability, these are smaller problems I was able to deal with.

3) Constantly attack them - Now that you've broken it down, it's time to commit to solving these challenges.

Do not think facing your fears would mysteriously solve them or make it easier but you will be braver and your self confidence would soar.

So my friend, it's time to face and get past these limitations, let it be included in our plans for this month.

We believe in your Growth.

Yesterday, the team and I had a meeting, and by the end I was drained mentally.

The challenges we were facing and still anticipate to face in the journey of Empowering people hit hard and personally, i was just drained.

I thought, "why bother, you want to give so much because you care and believe in people but must you care so much, just let it all go and focus on your growth alone"

I was torn, it felt alone, my spirit was down and in that moment, Ella texted and she made a statement that took my mind back to the beginning, the source of the Why.

As I'm writing this, I'm back to my full self, full of optimism, eyes on the board and ready to push for people's growth with my Team.

Now, we've all gone through situations like this, moments when we wonder if it's okay to just pull in the plug and call it off, these 3 things did help me and you should try it as well.

1) God - When you have a purpose, it's because your creator placed that thought and idea in your mind, so when you're down, lay it out before him.

2) Your Team- Understanding that what you do is beyond just yourself, that there are people who believe in a common vision and are committed to impacting others, you'll draw strength from them.

3) Sleep - 😀, it sounds silly but sometimes all you need to regain that strength is to shut down the mind, sleep it off and regain your strength.

Stay strong, motivated and attack today's challenge at full capacity.

I believe in you.
The Hood Group believes in your growth.

Breakfast at the Hood's Table

There's someone I know, you've obviously heard of him too but the truth is, like me, you probably heard of him when he has been established.

This person suffered failures years after years in business, he struggled consistently for years, lost the presidential election in 1856 and didn't get re-elected until 1861, 5 years after his previous defeat.
Of course as you guessed, I'm talking about the 16th president of the united states, Abraham Lincoln.

After studying the life of Abraham Lincoln, I realized a pattern to his lifestyle, the STCG principle.

For those with access to my status story, I shared a video on it this morning.

Principle 1) Study - To grow, you must have knowledge, you need to absolve knowledge tailored to your requirement.
Irrespective of your persona, there's a study pattern that works for you. Be it e-books, audiobooks, podcasts, book summaries, video courses, webinars etc, knowledge is all around you, tap into it.

2) Take Action - Don't just gather this knowledge, make use of it. Apply it to your routine, if you can't apply it, maybe you're studying what you don't need to grow.

3) Consistency - When you decide to take action, be consistent, show up daily. Even when you don't feel like doing it, do it.
Even while scared or uncertain, do it and find your strength.

4) Don't give up - it's a rough journey, so remember why you started, don't give up, keep winning and stay dedicated to your growth process.

Your environment (Hood) has everything you need to see you grow, keep activating yourself and keep winning.

I believe in you my friend....Adios💞

Message to the Hood circle

How was your journey like as a kid, absolutely knowing your parents were looking out for you.

You could dash down the street freely, come back home without worrying about dinner, just sit down to a meal and not worry about where the next meal comes from, at least not until you started growing and being handed responsibilities and the more responsible we became, the harder and yet more unique things seems to become.

How often though have you realized that you are not alone.

Depending on your belief, we have many names for him, Jehovah, Allah, Invisible force of life, buddha etc but I need a word big enough for his Majesty yet general enough, I'll call him God and there are 3 things you need to remember.

1) God is for you - Through your past journey, you've encountered difficulties, situations that if you think back on, you'll realize only your creator has strengthened you through them.

2) God is in you - Many times we have been saved by that so called intuition, we just know the right thing to do, say.
We've been in situations that has helped shape us to become who we are today, it's as a result of God's presence in you. Your purpose, talents, Gift, vision, dreams, direction are all a manifestation of God in you.

3) God is with us - And that's why no matter how hard it gets, you should not give up because there's a supernatural force that has your back, his power manifests through you.

So next time that step looks too difficult to take, goals look too hard to accomplish and you feel weary.

Remember that God is for, is in and is with you and find that strength because you're not alone.

God is with you.
I and the Hood are with you.
Everything you need to succeed is with you so unleash the lion within and keep going.

The Hood Team believes in you.

Sacrifice

Meet Beth Harmon from the Queen's Gambit series
For those unfamiliar with this series, it's the story of an orphan growing up in orphanage, discovered her talent in chess. It's the story of the difficult journey to success and how everything has a price, success has a price you must sacrifice for.

One of the speeches she made which shows how easy it is to want to give up is "I'm supposed to go to Russia at the end of the year, I'm afraid yet I must go...I need to quite the wine and pills, clean this place up, study chess 8 hours a day, they need me to play in San Francisco tonight and I should probably do all that but what I want is a drink"

Success demands a price from us...Sacrifice.

Here's 5 sacrifice you must make to be successful.

1) Books are boring, so are drugs - No one can say taking medicine when ill is fun but we do so to be healthy, you must constantly feed your mind in order to achieve success.

2) Go against the norm - you must change your mindset from the popular perspective and and be different, think, act differently from the average person.

3) Read to act - Don't just read to learn, read to take action
Knowledge isn't power, knowledge opens your mind to the potentials of power, it's in the ex*****on that power lies.

4) Use people and let them use you - Your network is your networth, you must be prepared to feed on the knowledge of those around you and you must equally give value.
Surround yourself with people who push you constantly to be better.

5) Don't give up - it's going to be difficult, that's what you signed up for and like Beth *"I'm supposed to go to Russia, I'm afraid yet I must go".
Facing your fears, mistakes, and trying again would demand from you but you must remember why you set out to do what you do and never give up no matter what

Success has a price, you must sacrifice.
