ONLINE PROSPECTING METHOD
The online world offers limitless opportunities for you to grow your business. Find out how to use blogs, forums and social media to prospect, recruit and build a successful team.
In recent years, the increased use of discussion forums, blogs and social media sites around the world has exploded. With online tools, it now takes just seconds to connect with the same number of people that it would have taken days or weeks to connect with just a few years ago.

Let’s discuss where to start the online prospecting process: how to gain other people’s interest and how to get them to join Oriflame – in other words how to build a digital identity in social media.
Start by deciding which social media networks you want to belong to (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, for example) and then register.
Once you’ve registered, start building your own unique story in your personal profile. For this, it’s important to update your profile daily. If you succeed in building your individual story, you’ll attract a lot of people!
How do you create your unique story?
One way is to express your everyday thoughts: what your day looks like; what’s inspiring you; what’s happening today or what new things you’ve learned, for example.
Share your opinions: type a short summary or post your favourite quotes from the new book you are reading or from the seminar or training you have just attended.
Show glimpses of your lifestyle
Travel – Where do you travel? Post exciting images on your personal page and share your impressions.
Family time – Post pictures of your family trips and activities.
Outdoor activities – Barbeques with your Core Team or celebration of different holidays together.
Hobbies – Show pictures, express thoughts and explain why you love your hobby.
You are creating your personal digital identity with the aim of interesting other people and inspiring them to ask questions about your lifestyle and job.
During the digital identity building process, it’s important to remember our online behaviour rules:
Do not focus on the Oriflame business and do not start talking about the Oriflame business until people start asking questions about your activities with Oriflame.
Never sell when you are answering questions about Oriflame.
Use phrases such as ‘In my opinion...’, ‘This has been my experience...’ or ‘You might be interested – some people love it!’
If a person starts to argue, gently turn this person from negative to positive.
Start your reply with: ‘Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion…’ or ‘Have you ever looked at it this way…?’
When people start asking about Oriflame, redirect them to your specially built groups on the same social media portal. Groups can be related to different interests, such as a group with a business focus or a group with product focus, for example.
In these groups you publish information focused on the business and products, with your personal profile as the contact information.

When talking about business, illustrate with pictures from seminars, trainings and meetings.
When talking about products, post pictures and videos of product launches and Beauty Events; give tips and advice, share your own impressions from using Oriflame products.
Constantly build up and maintain interest
Give people a lot of attractive information, such as promotions of your Leaders, impressions of events and post inspiring pictures, for example.
Invite friends to Oriflame events scheduled in your network (both online and offline)
E-learning education and online OOMs held by the sponsor, scheduled offline trainings and events held in your network.
Share Oriflame tools
After the online Oriflame Opportunity Presentation, invite prospects to the online training ‘Getting started’. Show them where to find this training on the Oriflame website.
Explain how to use an Oriflame page and how to download the apps for iPads and iPhones: Catalogue, Getting Started app, Business app and different promotional videos with tips and advice from Oriflame specialists.
