MERRY CHRISTMAS IN A SEASON OF ANOMIE

To those who have survived the dying year
The tortuous terrain of uncertain horizon
Delivering vicious punches of Covid
With it multifarious mutations and mutilations
A most uncertain and uncharted year of blitz
To you I say Merry Christmas

To the survivors of various blows of life
Excruciating years of marital estrangement
Of shameful days and nights in sadness
Dirty talks and imputation of needless blame
Yet not giving up in great expectations
To you I say Merry Christmas

To the pastors teaching and training as led
Dogged in obedience and confidence in God
But discouraged by pervasive snide remarks
Equalled with liars and mystifiers in the hood
Yet, doing the work according to the mandate
To you I say Merry Christmas.

To the widows who have been beaten by life
Pummelled black and blue by heavy billows And poignant buffetings of a lost husband
I remember widows who sell their clothes
To give a lifeline the children of their youth
A glorious dawn awaits you presently
To you I say Merry Christmas

To the youth who can't see a great future
In a horizon dirtied by the buccaneers in power
Poorest leadership stinking to high heavens
Putrid, barmy and sordid as a pit toilet
A great people lost in steady downward spiral
Actual stagnation cm imminent strangulation
To these youth, I say Merry Christmas

And to those who have loved me genuinely
Those who refused to hide it from me
Their encouragements have led me thus far
The promises of the One who knows tomorrow
I'm so glad im at my duty post
With my pen doing what He sent me to do
Why would I not have a Merry Christmas!

It is easy to know sad people from afar off, even online. Check their activities online, they are always critical and abusive. They don't encourage people, they don't click likes, all they wait for is the opportunity to nail you. If they do this online, only God knows what they do in real life! Sad people!
Why are they critical and sad always? Because they have no capacity to be happy. No. Life should not be like that. You have enough capacity to be happy. God created you to be happy. Don't bend the way life wants you to be. Control this life! Control your environment!
Let me teach you some ten ways to be happy always!
