Publiseer

Publiseer Publiseer is an easy-to-use platform tailored to meet the needs of independent African creatives.

Backed by Institut Français, the Goethe Institut, the Jack Ma Foundation, and the Alibaba Foundation, Publiseer is a digital platform that helps independent and underserved African writers, musicians, filmmakers, and video game developers, typically those from low-income and disadvantaged communities, to earn above the minimum wage and live above the poverty line from the sales of their creative w

orks. Publiseer achieves this by helping them distribute, protect, promote, and monetize their creative works worldwide, at no charge, with just a single click, and the digital platform shares in the revenue it generates for these creators, which in turn goes back into helping more creators in Africa. Every day, Publiseer discovers extraordinary local African creators and gives them a platform to focus on doing what they love doing the most and what they know how to do best, which is to create. At the same time, Publiseer handles the tedious but important business of transforming their creativity into wealth for them. When Publiseer accepts a creator on its platform, Publiseer fine-tunes their creative works to industry standard, so that the creator stands a chance to compete on a global scale. Then Publiseer distributes it to its over 400 well-established partner stores so that the creator is easily discovered. Publiseer also protect this content from illegal distribution and intellectual property theft, so the creator truly owns the content. The creators can monitor their sales performance on Publiseer's centralized dashboard, and receive their royalties via African-tailored payment methods, such as into a local bank account or through a mobile money wallet. The digital platform is working towards helping at least 2 million African creatives earn above the minimum wage and live above the poverty line from the sales of their creative works, by 2030. Publiseer has been recognized by Ernst & Young as one of the 100 “most meaningful businesses in the world”.

FROM OUR FOUNDER:

Last year, I was hired by a Netherlands-based edtech company, funded by the Dutch government, to scale their operations. Their mission was to teach young people how to code. With my background as a software engineer and software entrepreneur, I stepped in as Academy Director, eager to understand the challenges students faced.

On my very first day, I sat down with the Sales Team to uncover the biggest friction point in onboarding new learners. One thing immediately stood out: many students couldn’t even get started because they didn’t own a laptop.

I decided to experience the learning journey myself by joining all the Google Meet classes. What I saw was troubling—students would log in, then disappear abruptly. When I reached out to them, the truth became clear: they weren’t leaving because they wanted to. They were being forced out by poor internet connectivity, making it nearly impossible to learn consistently.

Digging deeper, I reviewed the academy’s records and found that in the cohort before I joined, 80 students had enrolled, but only 6 managed to graduate. That number didn’t sit right with me. So, I called up the students who had dropped out. Their reasons echoed a common theme: learning to code felt dry, intimidating, and disengaging. Frustration pushed them out before they could make real progress.

As I expanded the program to new countries, another challenge arose. Many of our students didn’t speak English as their first language. Since all our classes were taught in English, they struggled to keep up, and many more dropped out as a result.

At that point, it became obvious: if we wanted to build a truly global edtech solution, it had to be engaging, multilingual, and accessible without depending on laptops or reliable internet. Out of this realization, Efiwe was born—a platform designed to break down those barriers and make coding education available to anyone, anywhere.

So how does Efiwe make this possible?

Efiwe is a mobile-first platform, which means students can learn to code using only their smartphone — no laptop, no extra software. And because it’s powered by lightweight, on-device AI models, learners can keep practicing even without an internet connection.

Instead of passively watching tutorials, students master coding by doing. They take on interactive challenges, build real websites, and receive instant feedback, hints, and code diagnosis whenever they get stuck. With hundreds of gamified exercises, the experience feels less like a classroom and more like a game — fun, rewarding, and highly engaging. To make learning even more inclusive, instructions and feedback are available in 33 languages, opening the door for learners across borders.

But here’s where Efiwe truly stands apart: its adaptive intelligence. Our AI doesn’t just correct mistakes — it learns from each student’s progress and tailors the journey to their unique pace. When a learner completes a challenge, Efiwe analyzes their approach and adjusts how the next concept is introduced, ensuring they never feel rushed or left behind.

When errors do happen, Efiwe prioritizes them intelligently. Instead of overwhelming learners with every issue, it highlights the most important ones, helping them focus on what really matters. Whether it’s a missing semicolon or a complex logic error, Efiwe breaks it down step by step until they understand.

And the guidance goes even further. By predicting the most relevant hints based on the challenge difficulty and the learner’s past struggles, Efiwe provides just the right amount of help — enough to push them forward without simply giving away the answer.

In short, Efiwe doesn’t just track progress — it grows with the learner. The more they practice, the better it understands their strengths and weaknesses, adapting in real time to keep them challenged, motivated, and moving forward.

With Efiwe, learning to code is simple, fast, and empowering. Just open efiwe.com on your smartphone—no downloads needed—choose from 33 languages, and dive straight into your first coding challenge. Guided by an AI tutor that checks every line of code, diagnoses mistakes, and offers hints, you learn by doing, watching your project grow step by step into a fully styled website. You can keep going even offline, while the AI adapts to your pace and learning style.

By the end, you’re not just earning points and earning a Completion certificate—you’re building a real website you can showcase with confidence.

To Promote African Music Worldwide, Publiseer Partners With CapCut and SoundCloud

Musicians onboard the Publiseer platform can start making money from their streams on SoundCloud. “Any time someone streams their tracks on Soundcloud, they earn,” says Dapo Ogundipe, the Head of Content Review and Distribution at Publiseer. “Just as we distribute to over 400 digital service providers, we have added SoundCloud to our distribution channel, and our artists can view their earning and streaming numbers via our centralized dashboard at the end of every month.”

“With this partnership, the songs of our artists will be sent to CapCut just as we do with more than 400 digital service providers,” says Chidi Nwaogu, one of the founders of Publiseer. “Since CapCut is used by millions of users, distributing the music of our artists will help them earn each time their songs are selected, and their earning potential is extremely high since the rise of the popularity of YouTube Shorts, TikTok videos, and Instagram Reels. Who knows? This can make their songs go viral.”

Publiseer Begins Apple Books Digital Narration

"Apple Books Digital Narration is a new feature that Apple launched recently. This allows authors to create audiobooks from their existing ebooks using natural-sounding text-to-speech technology with voices that are based on human narrators. This feature makes the creation of audiobooks more affordable, and more accessible."

"Authors at Publiseer who want to turn their ebooks into an audiobook can simply notify Publiseer, after which, their ebook is sent to Apple, who turns it into an audiobook and makes it available on the Apple Books store for sale. Approximately, it takes Apple two months to process this request and make the audiobook available in their store."
