The most reliable check takes under a minute, go to Settings, General, About, copy the serial number, then paste it into Apple's official Check Coverage page, a genuine iPhone shows you the model and warranty status. If it says "invalid serial number," you're holding a clone no matter how clean the logo looks. Clones have gotten good enough that a crooked Apple logo or a slightly-off font isn't a reliable tell anymore on its own, run the software checks before you hand over the money, not after.
