We’ve just wrapped up the Finance Module in NyoGrade, and honestly, it’s a game changer.
Most schools track fees in a notebook and a WhatsApp group. A parent transfers money, sends a screenshot, and someone matches it by hand. By mid-term nobody is certain who owes what.
Here's what NyoGrade does instead.
Flexible Fee Structure: Set up any fee structure you want. Nothing is hardcoded into the system, giving schools complete flexibility.
Approval-Based Invoice: No parent is billed without prior approval. Staff can create or raise fees, but the fees must first be reviewed and approved by the school owner or an authorized approver.
Targeted Invoicing: Once approved, invoices are automatically sent only to the relevant assigned class or active students.
Multiple Payment Options: Students and parents can make payments online or via bank transfer.
Manual Payment Recording: The system also supports manual payments. For example, if a parent pays cash to the bursar, the bursar can simply go to the Record Payment screen, select the student, and mark the payment as paid.
Partial Payments: The system has built-in support for partial payments, making it easy to manage situations where a parent pays an invoice in installments.
