Here are 5 things you can start doing:

1️⃣ Check your blood pressure and heart rate regularly.
A home blood pressure monitor or smartwatch can help you keep track of your numbers.
A normal blood pressure reading is generally around 120/80 mmHg, although healthy ranges can vary from person to person. If your readings are consistently high or unusual, speak with a healthcare professional.

2️⃣ Stay physically active.
Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week.
And it doesn't have to mean spending hours at the gym. Walking, dancing, cycling, swimming, or even gardening can get your body moving and support your heart.

3️⃣ Pay attention to what you eat.
Build your meals around fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
Also, try to reduce your intake of highly processed foods, added sugars, and foods high in saturated fats.
Your everyday food choices can make a difference to your heart health.

4️⃣ Don't ignore unusual symptoms.
Pay attention to symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, unusual fatigue, dizziness, or palpitations.
If you experience symptoms that concern you, especially severe or sudden symptoms, seek medical attention promptly.

5️⃣ Make time to manage stress.
Chronic stress can affect your overall health, so make relaxation part of your routine.
