Kano Digital Innovation Network (KDIN) Participates in High-Level Stakeholder Dialogue on AI Ethics and Governance
We are pleased to announce that the Kano Digital Innovation Network (KDIN) actively participated in the Stakeholder Dialogue on AI Ethics and Governance, organized by the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), an initiative of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG).
held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Bristol Palace Hotel, Kano, the event brought together key stakeholders from across Kano State; spanning government ministries, department & agencies (MDAs), private enterprises, civil society, and leaders across critical sectors including Agriculture, Health, Education, and Economic Inclusion.
Key Highlights & Dialogue Focus:
Tech Justice Lens: Examining Nigeria’s emerging AI landscape through the analytical lens of tech justice to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and public trust.
Sectoral Mapping: Assessing how AI is currently deployed across Health, Education, Agriculture, and Economic Inclusion, while addressing deployment challenges.
Policy & Frameworks: Mapping the policy, regulatory, and institutional environments required to guide safe and ethical AI deployment in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
The session was exceptionally successful, highly educative, and impactful. It delivered immense practical value for both policy makers shaping future regulations and developers building AI solutions in this rapidly evolving era.
