The BIOVET Project
As part of our commitment to advancing the development and long-term sustainability of Agritech in Nigeria, Greysoft Technologies has partnered with MeOut, a Hungary-based education development company, to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Agriculture across Nigeria, Ghana, and Sierra Leone โ The BIOVET Project.
This EU-funded, two-year, multi-country project brings together partners from five countries across Africa and Europe, including Hungary and Romania. Greysoft Technologies, working in collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), represents the Nigerian arm of the consortium.
In January, we participated in the projectโs inaugural meeting in Ghana, marking the formal kickoff of activities. The visit included engagements with the Hungarian Embassy in Ghana and a technical visit to Adidome Farm Institute, one of Ghanaโs leading agricultural TVET institutions. As the project progresses, further study visits to Hungary and Romania will provide exposure to advanced agricultural technologies and TVET best practices. The programme will also feature the African Agriculture Competition, hosted in Nigeria by Greysoft Technologies and NBTE, Capacity Building Workshops, and the Final Innovation Conference scheduled to hold in Brussels, Belgium.
By the end of the project, we expect to have significantly upskilled TVET educators, established biodynamic farms, contributed to policy and curriculum development, improved TVET graduate employability, and strengthened trade and collaboration between West African and EU agribusiness ecosystems.
We invite you to look forward to participating in the forthcoming KADUNA AGRITECH CONFERENCE scheduled for May 2026 - if you play in the Agric space, this will make your year!
