MANGU NORTH 2027: FORMER ASPIRANTS BURY DIFFERENCES, RALLY BEHIND SANI SHILAK GOLDEN FOR HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

‎Hon. Elisha Bitrus Shehu JP, former Plateau State Commissioner for Environment and incumbent Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, who also serves as Chairman of the Aspirants Forum, has led a delegation of former aspirants for the Plateau State House of Assembly,Mangu North Constituency, in a crucial meeting aimed at strengthening unity and support for the APC ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
‎
‎The meeting was convened in support of Hon. Sani Shilak Golden, who emerged as the APC flag-bearer for Mangu North Constituency.
‎
‎In a demonstration of sportsmanship, maturity and commitment to the progress of the party, all former aspirants were given the opportunity to speak and publicly reaffirm their genuine support for the emergence and victory of Hon. Sani Shilak Golden, as well as other APC candidates across the ballot.
‎
‎The meeting was attended by prominent stakeholders, including Hon. Abdul Adamu Yanga, Deputy Chief Whip of the Plateau State House of Assembly and three-time House of Assembly member representing Mangu North Constituency, Hon. Yakwen Lawal Nuhu, Deputy Chairman of Mangu Local Government Council,Hon. Kefas Aminu Nesto, APC Plateau State Deputy Youth Leader and Hon. Tijjani Bazamfare, APC Chairman, Mangu LGA.

‎In their respective remarks, the leaders emphasized the importance of unity, togetherness, loyalty and genuine commitment, while calling for massive mobilization and votes for all APC candidates from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
‎
‎In the response of the APC flag-bearer for Mangu North, Hon. Sani Shilak Golden, expressed profound appreciation to the former aspirants for putting aside personal interests and coming together as one team for the success of the party.
‎
‎He also appreciated them for taking the message of unity and support to their respective supporters, assuring the gathering of his commitment to victory and effective representation.
‎
‎Hon. Sani Shilak Golden solicited prayers, support and massive mobilization for the APC, from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, Hon. David Barji and Hon. David Lalu, while appealing for forgiveness wherever the leaders may have failed or fallen short of the expectations of the people.
‎
‎He pledged to serve humanity with the fear of God Almighty, assuring constituents that his leadership would be guided by fairness, inclusiveness and compassion, without discrimination based on tribe or religion.
‎
‎In the closing remarks , Hon. Elisha Bitrus Shehu JP, Chairman of the Former Aspirants Forum, commended all the former aspirants together with their supporters for taking what he described as a responsible and commendable decision to support Hon. Sani Shilak Golden and work for his victory by 2027 general election.

‎He noted that their collective decision demonstrates sportsmanship, credibility, maturity and a strong commitment to unity and progressive leadership.

‎The delegation of the Mangu Youths Assembly, alongside the Plateau Youths Council (PYC), Mwaghavul Youths Movement (MYM), Pyem Youths Movement (PYM) and other youths and community leaders, yesterday visited the palace of the Sum Pyem in Gindiri to seek royal blessings and prayers for two distinguished sons of Pyem Chiefdom following their appointments into the Plateau State Government.
‎
‎ The delegation included Hon. Elisha Bitrus Shehu, JP, the newly appointed Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Plateau State and Coordinator of the Tinubu Re-election Action Group (TRAG), Plateau State.
‎
The visit also recognised the appointment of Hon. Tijjani Amana and Hon. Elisha Bitrus Shehu JP ,both of whom have been entrusted with responsibilities as Special Advisers to the Executive Governor of Plateau State.
‎
The engagement provided an opportunity for the youth leadership to acknowledge the significance of the appointments and to reaffirm the importance of unity, responsible representation and constructive engagement in advancing the interests of Pyem Chiefdom, Mangu and Plateau State.

‎ As the two appointees begin their new assignments, the delegation expresses confidence in their capacity to contribute meaningfully to governance and community development.

‎ Discussions also highlighted the need for sustained political participation ahead of the 2027 elections, with emphasis on the APC 5/5 agenda of the upcoming election for 2027 and the pursuit of a stronger political future for the people.

The event brought together prominent political leaders, government officials, community stakeholders, and other distinguished personalities, reflecting the importance of collective engagement and participation in initiatives across the Plateau State.

‎The TRAG Coordinator, Plateau State, Hon. Elisha Bitrus Shehu JP, has demonstrated a continued commitment to people-centred leadership through a series of engagements with residents of Chanso Ward, Gindiri Pyem Chiefdom, Mangu Local Government Area.
‎
‎The engagement began with his attendance at a church service in his village,COCIN CC Chanso, where he joined members of the community in worship and fellowship.
‎
‎He thereafter undertook a series of visits to sick members of the community, offering prayers, encouragement, and moral support to the affected individuals and their families.
‎
‎As part of the same outreach, Hon. Elisha Bitrus Shehu visited bereaved families in Mungi, Vokti, Gauraye, Chengyere, and Chanso town, where he conveyed his condolences and stood in solidarity with families grieving the loss of their loved ones.
‎
‎The visits underscore the importance of leadership that maintains a direct connection with the grassroots and recognizes the human needs of communities beyond formal engagements.
