HOW TO CONNECTS UP TO 16 LNBS TO A SINGLE DECODER/RECEIVER USING MULTI SWITCH DISEQC.

I want to address the issue of how to connect more than 4 lnbs to your decoder. For example, you can actually connect up to 16 lnbs or more to a single decoder. I decided to choose this topic today after series of Whatsapps and Telegram messages on this topic. I had discussion how to connect up to 4 lnbs to a single decoder around last year.

Today, I will be sharing knowledge on how you can actually use up to sixteen (16) lnbs on your decoder. If you don't have knowledge of connecting lnbs on disqc, I would advise you to read my previous update on how connect diseqc to have the basic knowledge of connecting 4 lnbs to a single decoder. Having know that, to connect 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 , 10 up to sixteen lnbs to a single decoder, follow these simple steps:

* Get Multi switch diseqc, e.g 8 ways diseqc or 16 ways diseqc according to your desire.

* Track all the satellites you wish to track.

* Pick the Multi switch diseqc you bought earlier and connect the lnbs to it one after the other.
NOTE: Make sure you write down the ports number you connected to each satellite because it will be needed when you get inside to connect the decoder.

* Having done that, go inside your home and connect the single cable you needed to connect to your decoder. Fix the cable to the ports on back of your decoder.

* Switch ON your decoder and pick up your remote. Try to locate settings on your decoder and equally locate where you have " DISEQC 1.0 and DISEQC 1.1".

* Select diseqc 1.1 since you are using more than 4 lnbs. If you are using just 4 lnbs or less, then select 1.0.

* Having select 1.1 port, now pick up the note you wrote down outside which you used earlier to connect your lnbs to diseqc. Look carefully to make sure the numbers is exactly what you are fixing inside.

* If for example, Multi TV ( Astra 2F @ 28.2 East) is in port 1, just select A or 1 depending on what is written on your decoder and run a blindscan to get the channels on that particular satellite. Repeat the method in the rest and you are done.

Breaking News: CONSAT TV has resumed transmission on Multi TV position.

Nigeria based pay television package, CONSAT TV has resumed transmission on Multi TV position, Astra 2f @ 28.2 degree East, Ku band with frequency 12565 H 30000. CONSAT TV was in Eutelsat 16 @ 16 degree East previously before it shut down but promised to resumed transmission by the end of March. There are about nine channels currently free on its package now. The channels include:
* Gof TV
* TVC Hausa
* TVC News
* TVC News Nigeria
* TVC Entertainment
* Tributes TV
* Talent Sports
* X2D
* Yoruba Swaga.

The only problem on the package now is that, its network is not stable at the moment due to test in transmission the package is currently undergoing.

You can receive those channels with 60cm dish in Sub-Saharian countries such as Ghana & Nigeria.

You can receive them using the same dish/LNB that is receiving Multi TV (Astra 2F), however for some of you it may required a small LNB fine tuning from your installer in order to perfectly receive both Badr & Astra 2F (Multi TV) channels. Enjoy

UPDATE!

I hope I previously post on latest Multi TV new frequency after the upgrade. I have received numerous calls, text messages complaining of lack of technical know how to input the Multi TV new frequency which is 12525 V 30000. There is a solution. You can just blindscan your receiver, to receive Multi TV channels,

All the channels are there except Metro TV that is not available after the upgrade. Another is that, TV3 is scrambled. You know TV3 is the most important channel on Multi TV with regards to LIVE matches. The solution is here also. If your TV is not showing, just input this biss key and it will start working. The key is 9E 37 79 4E B9 7F 4A 82.

Multi TV changed during the night its transponder settings.

We advise you to proceed with a Blind Scan in order to receive all the channels available on Astra 2F.

TWO WAYS TO WAKE UP YOUR SRT4920, SRT4920A, SRT4922, AND SRT4922A

In case you fried up one of the above Strong Decoders due to light went off during the upgrading. There are the steps to be taken to restore back your decoder.

OPTION 1
Step 1: Press and hold channel up button.
Step 2: Switch the decoder on with the power switch until it display loader menu.
Step 3: Put your flash and select usb manual browse and press OK to upgrade. Your decoder must wake up with these steps.

OPTION 2.
Download the normal upgrade file of the above SRT, rename the file to ROM and copy it to your flash drive. Make sure there is nothing on the flash drive. Off the decoder and insert the flash drive now. You can now put on the decoder and you will see that the process has started flashing the decoder to bring it back to life.

Some classic channels on beIN channels are currently transmitting free on Eutelsat 7 @ 7.3 degree west with frequency 12245 V 27500. Some people call Eutelsat 7w @7.3 west as Nilesat 7 west but the actual name is Eutelsat 7 @ 7.3 degree west. The beIN free channels include:

The channels can easily be track for people living in Middle East and North Africa countries. For people living in East and West Africa, you may need dish bigger than 90cm to nail the bird. How to get MBCs at Nilesat 7'W

1. You can open the front cover of your LNB strong short neck.
2. Track Abs 3'W with 11.150 V 45.000.
3. Once you hit green on Abs input this frequency 11.475 V 27.500
4. Lower your dish slowly to your right (standing behind the dish), its just some about 2 inches away from Abs.
5. Once youu hit green on 11.475 V 27.500, adjust your dish and LNB, skew to get up to 70%
6. Then input 11.560 V 27.500 it should give you green instantly, that is MBC Package. i.e. MBC 1 - 4, MBC Action, MBC Bollywood, MBC group 1 - 5 and so on.
7. Do all the tweaking you know to improve your signal on 11.560 V 27.500 (MBC) to go above 64% to avoid cracking.
