A conversation about Nigeria’s digital future cannot stop at connectivity.

At the 7th edition of the Telecom Sector Stakeholders Forum, our COO, Mr. Chidi Ajuzie, joined industry leaders and stakeholders to explore what it will take to rethink Nigeria’s digital infrastructure strategy.

In his presentation, *“Rethinking Nigeria’s Digital Infrastructure Strategy,”* he highlighted the need for stronger open-access infrastructure, harmonised regulation, wider broadband access, local data and cloud infrastructure, improved financing, and greater collaboration across the digital ecosystem.

The bigger picture is clear: building a stronger digital infrastructure is not just about faster internet. It is about creating the foundation for digital inclusion, innovation, investment and long-term economic growth.

We were glad to be part of the conversations shaping what comes next for Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.

What does it really take to build a stronger digital infrastructure in Nigeria?

That was the conversation at the 7th Telecom Sector Sustainability Forum by Business Remarks, held on September 16 at Citiheight Hotel, Ikeja.

This year’s forum brought together stakeholders across the telecoms and digital economy space to discuss what is holding back infrastructure growth, what needs to change, and how Nigeria can create room for more investment and innovation.

iKonectt was represented by our COO, who took part in the conversation as both a speaker and panelist, sharing insights alongside other industry voices.

From the cost of infrastructure and access to capital, to policy, power, cybersecurity and the need for better infrastructure sharing, the discussions went beyond identifying the problems. They focused on what can actually be done.

For us at iKonectt, being part of these conversations matters because the future of connectivity is not only about laying more fibre. It is also about creating the right environment for that infrastructure to grow and serve more people.

A lot to think about. A lot more to build.
