Coming Late to Work: A Quiet Sign of Disloyalty
In my 14 years of running a business, I’ve observed something that keeps repeating itself — most staff who start with the habit of coming late usually don’t turn out loyal.
I’m not talking about hard work or being committed when you're around. I’m talking about those who can hold things down and represent you well when you’re not there. From my personal experience, 9 out of 10 staff who began with lateness later showed signs that I couldn’t trust them fully.
Yes, it may not apply to everybody. But the pattern has been too clear for me to ignore.
So if you’re bringing in new staff, pay close attention to this simple sign. It often says more than people realize.
