Me: Good afternoon Ma, Fish how much?

Madam: Good afternoon my pikin, this one 2500 that one 500

Me: How come the same size but different prices

Madam: This one na the one I fit give you guarantee but that one na wetin you see you carry

Me: Bring this one 5

Madam: You mean the 500 own?

Me: Yes ma

Madam: Hee, my pikin, no say me I no tell you oo

Me: Ma, just bring am, I see fish of the same size with one cheaper than the other, I have to go for the cheaper na

Madam: Hmmm, Okay ooo, make I put the head?

Me: If eh get leg, put am join

Madam: Hahaha, this country don show you shege

Me: Ma, you speak like a prophet

Madam: And eh go show you more if you no shine your eyes

Me: 🙄

So I gave the woman 2500 after she cut and packaged the fish for me.

I then carried the nylon and happily went home, rejoicing that I had used the money of 1 fish to buy 5.

Luckily for me, there was light when I arrived home, so I quickly washed the fish and started cooking in my electric cooker.

I then decided to Netflix and chill while I waited for the fish to be done.

I got carried away by the movie and it was 3 hours later that I remembered.

I activated a marathon to the kitchen. Getting there, I opened the pot and discovered that the water had dried completely and the pot was burning, but the fish still looked untouched.

I collected one and bit it to know whether it was done and my teeth almost fell out.

"How can a fish not be done in 3 hours?" I wondered confusedly.

I added more water and was just going to switch on the electric cooker when the power blacked out.

I then transferred the pot to the gas cooker and resumed the cooking.

I kept checking this fish every now and then for another 3 hours when my gas finally finished, and they were not even close to being done.

I opened the pot in annoyance to go and dispose them, only for me to discover that the sliced fishes had formed live fishes and were happily swimming in the hot water.

It was at this point that I gave up and reckoned that I had bought ancestral spirit in the name of fishes.

Who sent me? 😭😭😭
