Following the official launch of the Ericsson “Connect NextGen” National Hackathon, I am calling on all GOSCA members — especially our cybercafé operators, ICT service providers, and tech-talented youths — to take advantage of this opportunity.
This program is not only for software developers.

If you run a cybercafé, provide digital services, train students, register JAMB/WAEC, handle online businesses, or support the community with ICT — you already understand real problems people face daily. Turn those problems into digital solutions.

They are looking for ideas in:
Telecommunications • AgriTech • HealthTech • EdTech • FinTech • CleanTech • IoT • AI/ML • Sustainability

GOMBE STATE CYBERCAFÉ OPERATORS ASSOCIATION (GOSCA) LAUNCHES DIGITAL COMPUTER LITERACY TRAINING IN COLLABORATION WITH THE GOMBE STATE COMMISSION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (GSCPWD)

Today, the leadership of the Gombe State Cybercafé Operators Association (GOSCA) successfully paid an advocacy visit to the Gombe State Commission for Persons with Disabilities (GSCPWD).

During the meeting, we presented our proposal for a sustainable collaboration aimed at providing ICT and digital skills training for:

• Persons with disabilities

• Children of persons with disabilities

• Other vulnerable beneficiaries across the State

The discussion was productive and focused on how both organizations can work together to empower members of our community with practical computer skills, self-reliance opportunities, and improved livelihoods through technology.

This is not a one-time training; it is planned as a continuous programme that will create long-term impact in Gombe State, by the grace of God.

The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Ishiyaku Adamu, warmly welcomed the GOSCA team and expressed the Commission’s readiness and commitment to work closely with the Association to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative.

We appreciate the warm reception and positive engagement from the Commission and look forward to the next stage of implementation.
