So I saw an old version of Chrome today, and I saw the gap between then and now.
This gave me one sincere level of joy. I was so happy that people had to ask what I was laughing about.
I couldn't explain it.
But here is the thing: seeing that lifted a burden from my heart, which is the burden of perfection.
I am a person so obsessed with having it perfect. Sometimes, I don't do some things because I haven't painted the perfect picture of it in my head.
Until that picture is clear in my head, I don't design. I don't code.
But ditch that.
Over time, I have come to realise that the perfection I am looking for is right inside the work.
So this made me stop overthinking Straep and the problem I am trying to solve.
The main idea has been pushed, but then I am in the perfection stage, and I honestly want to leave this to the reviews of our users.
I want to build it, put it out there, let people use it, and let their feedback help shape what it becomes.
Because maybe the perfect version of Straep isn't something I need to figure out in my head before I start.
Maybe it is something we discover while building.
